21st Transmission [Video/Written/Action] (Forward Dated to March 17)

[Well it's about that time of year, when the weather begins to shift and it's beginning to get to the point where cultivating and preparing to for planting season is becoming a necessity. And to get all this started, Luke needs your help. He opens up the journal and smiles at the camera.]

Good afternoon Luceti,

For those of you that don't know me, my name is Luke Skywalker. For the last couple of years I've been tending to some of the farmlands outside the village, trying to build up emergency stores as well as bringing a bit of self-sufficiency to the enclosure. And as some of you may know, within the last year both Nami and Applejack have both departed, leaving the orchards near the farmland untended. I've been tending to them as best I can, but the vast majority of the help I had with the work has also returned home.

In the interest of better utilizing the space I'd like to request the help of anyone willing to volunteer their time with a bit of manual labor. I'm afraid it's simply not going to be possible to manage it all by myself, and any help would be greatly appreciated. It's beginning to near the planting season, after all. I'm happy to offer whatever services I can provide in exchange.

[There's a pause, and he seems to look somewhere off camera.]

On a related note, if there's anyone who knows anything about building irrigation systems, I'd appreciate any advice.

[Shutting off the feed, he sends out two private messages.]

Loki, I know this is much less interesting than musical theater and cookies, but I was hoping I could get your help with a bit of magical work on the farm.

Law, I figure we should probably revisit some of those supply caches and check on them. Possibly restock and take care of a few other things down that vein.

He was here for a while, too. I spoke to him a bit.

Huh? Really? When?

Was he okay?

About a year ago, and he seemed to be alright.

[Hmm!!]

I don't remember the professor disappeari--woah!

[Whoops, too much not looking where one is going. But that's okay, looking down off screen.-] Thanks.

[Anyway.] I don't remember him disappearing.

[Luke blinks, but since the boy's obviously not hurt, he doesn't comment.]

You wouldn't remember him disappearing. He'd have vanished and returned in the same instant, as far as your world goes. Time moves differently here, so while he may have been here a month or two, he'd have been gone in the time it takes you to blink where you're from.

Oh...yeah... I think I remember somebody telling me that. Isn't that weird? How'd people find out about that?

People sometimes vanish from this world and return. They don't remember Luceti at home, and they're gone less than a second. One friend of mine vanished and returned home mid-conversation, and when he came back he found it rather disturbing.

Mid-conversation? Were you talking to him? How did it look?

No, I meant he was talking to someone at home, left, and returned in the middle of it.

Wooahh. If they wanted him that much, why did they bother sending him back?

I don't think they really had much choice. Honestly I'm not sure they have much hand in us coming or going.

[Not...gonna try and explain that whole mess to him. It hurts his head too.]

I guess a lot about this place doesn't make sense to anyone, huh.

'Specially anybody bringing the professor here. He's a pokémon professor! He belongs in his lab, not here.

Well, yes, but then, I've seen five and six year old children here as well. At least the professor was an adult.

[pokeboy]

Oh...they didn't have pokémon?

[And then, maybe a little suddenly-] Beat you! --Sir.

[Just throw that sir on shakily to not sound like a total kid. Red will just sit down by the fountain on the ground with his ivysaur beside him.]

Forever Action!

[thefinaljedi]

[Luke doesn't respond, though Red will feel a tap on his shoulder]

Did you, young man?

[pokeboy]

[alksdf okay that makes Red jump-]

Wh-- [No he's just going to get up. Saur's looking surprised too.] You didn't tell me!

[Sneaky!! The face on Red is the face of a boy who totally felt good and cool but then got outsmarted by an adult anyway. Maaannn!!]

I live just around the corner.

[Luke points over to House 46, visible about a hundred feet from the plaza.]

And I thought I'd surprise you.

[pokeboy]

[He makes a sulking noise as he stands up, the pinched lips and sore look disappearing as soon as he's facing Luke. The man is still a stranger after all, and Red has some reservations about acting like a total kid so unabashedly (and honestly, it wasn't really truly upsetting).

Red motions downwards at Saur with both hands, instead moving onto introductions.]

This is Saur -- she's my ivysaur. She'll be helping you with me.

[The ivysaur stares up at Luke, but then gives an-] Ivysaur [-before hunching her front legs in a sort of greeting and then standing properly on all fours. A light and sweet scent is coming the enlarged bulb on her back that has a calming effect on many.]

[Luke crouches down to look Ivysaur in the eye, giving the little reptile-plant a warm smile.]

Nice to meet you, Saur. Thank you for your help.

[Because after talking to a dragonite, and a conversation with Green he's learned that pokemon simply aren't beasts, they're really very smart, but with limited vocabulary.]

[pokeboy]

[The Saur nods to him once more. She doesn't mind his sudden appearance, being a pokémon used to strange new company.]

Did I tell you about her? I can tell you everything I know about ivysaurs.

[thefinaljedi]

Well, I can make a few guesses. She's...Grass type? And pretty easygoing, given how she reacted to me.

[He rises, flashing Saur a smile.]

And I feel like she's got a strong bond with you.

[pokeboy]

She's nice. She's nice to all the pokémon and people we meet, as long as they don't do anything bad.

[And at that comment, Red beams.]

We do! We've got the strongest bond! Me and her, we can do anything together.

[His hands fist up and he puts them against his waist in pride. But, when looking down to his partner, he removes one to hold down to her. Much too high for her to touch, one might think, until a vine comes out from under her bulb and bumps into it. She gives a happy 'ivysaur!' with it, jumping her front legs up (or attempting, but the weight of her bulb is too much for her to really lift off the ground) and opening her mouth to show teeth with two pointed fangs on each side.]

[Well, it's no stranger than some of the more awkward species that Luke's seen back home, so he doesn't even react to the vine. He just grins at the display of solidarity between the two.]

Yeah, I can see that! I can almost feel it in the Force. There's definitely something between you two.

[pokeboy]

The Force? What Force? [...] Like our energy?

[The 'What are pokémon?' question. Saur is just going to wrap her vine around Red's wrist. Yay hand-holding-substitution.]
