21st Transmission [Video/Written/Action] (Forward Dated to March 17)

[Well it's about that time of year, when the weather begins to shift and it's beginning to get to the point where cultivating and preparing to for planting season is becoming a necessity. And to get all this started, Luke needs your help. He opens up the journal and smiles at the camera.]

Good afternoon Luceti,

For those of you that don't know me, my name is Luke Skywalker. For the last couple of years I've been tending to some of the farmlands outside the village, trying to build up emergency stores as well as bringing a bit of self-sufficiency to the enclosure. And as some of you may know, within the last year both Nami and Applejack have both departed, leaving the orchards near the farmland untended. I've been tending to them as best I can, but the vast majority of the help I had with the work has also returned home.

In the interest of better utilizing the space I'd like to request the help of anyone willing to volunteer their time with a bit of manual labor. I'm afraid it's simply not going to be possible to manage it all by myself, and any help would be greatly appreciated. It's beginning to near the planting season, after all. I'm happy to offer whatever services I can provide in exchange.

[There's a pause, and he seems to look somewhere off camera.]

On a related note, if there's anyone who knows anything about building irrigation systems, I'd appreciate any advice.

[Shutting off the feed, he sends out two private messages.]

Loki, I know this is much less interesting than musical theater and cookies, but I was hoping I could get your help with a bit of magical work on the farm.

Law, I figure we should probably revisit some of those supply caches and check on them. Possibly restock and take care of a few other things down that vein.

[He's trying take that in. A little confused maybe, but...]

...So... if you manipulate it, what do it does? Do you hurt people?

[Luke's expression doesn't waver.]

I don't, no. Unless they're trying to hurt me or the people I'm supposed to protect. It can do a lot of things, from healing to making things float in the air, and there are some people who use it for evil, but not people from my Order.

[He's trying to make this easy to digest.]

Back home, I'm part of a group of knights that protect the peace. We're called Jedi, and we're a bit like the police, honestly.

[Super-powered, laser sword using, flying...space cops...]

[pokeboy]

[He looks downward, thinking.]

Hmmmm....

[A very hard thinking hmming there, until he looks back to Luke.]

...You sound like a video game hero. But I think that's okay. [It's becoming oddly normal?]

--Hey, didn't you say you can make things float right? Can you show me?

[thefinaljedi]

[Luke laughs at that.]

In some ways, maybe. And yes, I can.

[He doesn't normally show off like this, but Red is a kid...so.

He points over to a few rocks sitting beside one of the square's buildings and concentrates, slowly levitating them with an invisible hand.]

[pokeboy]

[! And colour Red impressed.]

Wow, you did it! [Red feels as well that the concept of the Force clicks more with him upon seeing the display.]

You're like a psychic! Have you ever heard about psychics? They say people with psychic powers can levitate things too! Is the Force like that? Can you float yourself?

[In answer, Luke's feet begin to float just off the ground.]

Psychic ability comes with being able to use the Force, yes. There are other things it can do, from healing to absorbing energy, but they're not something I can really show you. A bit too specialized.

[pokeboy]

[Red's met a few people with psychic abilities on the road, but not too many, and not any that he's really stopped to speak about their abilities with. To have Luke humour him so well with what he has, well, it was him feeling energetic all over. He nods his head repeatedly.]

I get it! They take different amounts of energy, but floating things is the easiest. Does it matter how heavy something is?

[thefinaljedi]

[Luke shakes his head. Red has it about half right, given that any given Force talent doesn't require much energy at all, but some are just more ephemeral than others.]

Only in your mind. Weight is meaningless to the Force, provided you can free your mind enough to manipulate it.

[pokeboy]

[Could he even lift Snorlax... Red should try asking if they meet sometime...!!]

Does that mean anybody can learn how to use it? You just have to learn how to think really clearly?

[thefinaljedi]

[Again Luke shakes his head.]

Only people who are born with the ability can, and the only people I know of with that potential are from my world.

[pokeboy]

Oh. ...I think I'm going to hear that a lot here.

[thefinaljedi]

Probably. A lot of worlds are like that. But it's what makes us unique, you know?

[pokeboy]

You think? [Well, he doesn't disagree with that. He looks down, thinking about some of the difference he's heard about worlds.] I guess so.

[But the most unique thing to himself so far as pokémon. Which isn't so bad, when it makes him think-]

Do you have anything like pokémon where you're from?

[He remembers babbling about pokémon and hearing about the professor being in Luceti, but no mention about creatures of Luke's own world.]

[Luke shakes his head, smiling.]

We don't have anything quite like that. We have all sorts of creatures, some of them are similar, but they don't say their names, and very, very few of them have any sort of powers.

[The few that do, though...watch out.]

But in their own way, I'd say they're something special to your world. From what I know, they're a big part of why it is the way it is.

[pokeboy]

[A nod!]

I think so. They're everywhere in our world, and we do everything with them. There's god pokémon... or a god pokémon?

[He's a little shaky on his religious knowledge.] Do you know what gods are?

[thefinaljedi]

[Luke gives him a quick nod.]

I do. Beings of power, often with impossibly long lifespans. Why?

[pokeboy]

I didn't know if you'd have them. [He tilts his head, one side to the other.] Your Force thing sounded kinda like how some people talk about sacred pokémon... but I don't really know about them.

[And then he scratches his head.] I don't remember if people really use that word, or just call them sacred... [He shakes his head.] But anyway! I asked because I was curious. Plus I met this lady who called herself a god when I met her.

[Well since they have a bit of a walk ahead, Luke nods towards the northwest and starts walking, but replies as he does.]

Well, the Force is seen as a kind of religion where I'm from. But it's not really tied to a god or goddess. Where I'm from, those kinds of things are only stories.

[He smiles, having a sense of who Red's talking about though they can't ever meet thanks to Obi-Wan.]

There are a few actual gods here, I know that for a fact. Did this lady offer you any reason to doubt her? Or give you a demonstration?

[pokeboy]

She did! [referring to the demonstration] But I'm not doubting her! Or. [Um. Hm.] I'm still getting used to people with strange powers, I guess...

But you said about unique people, and you made me think of her. [He smiles, and moves around his hands-] She can make a storm cloud appear! And her and Pikachu- Pikachu's one of my other pokémon- they started making all these sparks appear between each other.

[thefinaljedi]

[Luke nods at that, now knowing exactly who he's talking about.]

She is what she says. She's a...friend of a friend. I've seen her around town, myself too, and there's something about her that is certainly unique. But she's not the only god around here.

[pokeboy]

Do you know the other gods?

[He's curious!]

[thefinaljedi]

I know Loki well enough, I suppose. But the others not so much.

[It's not really his place to warn Red about Moro, but...]

If you're exploring the woods and happen to see a large wolf, that would be one of the gods here. Moro. She's got a foul temper, so if you do cross her path be respectful.

[pokeboy]

O-okay. [Ohh, that's a good warning, especially since he's into exploring the forest. But...]

...What does a wolf look like?

[Oh! Right. Lance explained that...]

It's got 4 legs, a muzzle, and fangs. And Moro is white.

[pokeboy]

So like a... animal! [He nods in understanding. He can understand a super being being not human!]

What about "Loki"? What is she like?
