21st Transmission [Video/Written/Action] (Forward Dated to March 17)

[Well it's about that time of year, when the weather begins to shift and it's beginning to get to the point where cultivating and preparing to for planting season is becoming a necessity. And to get all this started, Luke needs your help. He opens up the journal and smiles at the camera.]

Good afternoon Luceti,

For those of you that don't know me, my name is Luke Skywalker. For the last couple of years I've been tending to some of the farmlands outside the village, trying to build up emergency stores as well as bringing a bit of self-sufficiency to the enclosure. And as some of you may know, within the last year both Nami and Applejack have both departed, leaving the orchards near the farmland untended. I've been tending to them as best I can, but the vast majority of the help I had with the work has also returned home.

In the interest of better utilizing the space I'd like to request the help of anyone willing to volunteer their time with a bit of manual labor. I'm afraid it's simply not going to be possible to manage it all by myself, and any help would be greatly appreciated. It's beginning to near the planting season, after all. I'm happy to offer whatever services I can provide in exchange.

[There's a pause, and he seems to look somewhere off camera.]

On a related note, if there's anyone who knows anything about building irrigation systems, I'd appreciate any advice.

[Shutting off the feed, he sends out two private messages.]

Loki, I know this is much less interesting than musical theater and cookies, but I was hoping I could get your help with a bit of magical work on the farm.

Law, I figure we should probably revisit some of those supply caches and check on them. Possibly restock and take care of a few other things down that vein.

[Well, he's never one to go around talking and asking people he doesn't know about things, but maybe he won't do that. He looks down to the ground instead, falling more silent, sparing a look over to Saur one or two times. Professor Oak being here? Strange time... distortion?

Saori did tell him to just accept it, but...]

...Was everything really confusing when you first got here too?

[Smiling good naturedly, Luke nods. He remembers being in Red's shoes once.]

Yes, absolutely. It still is, but I make do. You'll get used to it in time.

[pokeboy]

Hmmm... I guess so. [Is he just going to have to try and not think so hard about things?]

...You really have younger versions of your parents here? What's that like?

[thefinaljedi]

Well, it's a little odd. But it's nice. [He shrugs.] I never knew my parents growing up, so it's an experience, at least.

Yeah? [That could mean two things, but... let's be careful.] Do you hang out with them? You could really get to know them a bunch!

I do. We all live together, so it's definitely a good chance. I wouldn't trade it for the entire galaxy.

[pokeboy]

[That sounds rather big. But nice, too.]

I don't know what I would do with my parents here... what do you do other than the farm land work? Can your parents do the Force stuff with you?

[thefinaljedi]

Well, I work in the clinic with my girlfriend. And I try and keep prepared for whatever might happen.

And, my father is a Jedi Knight, yes. My mother, though, she's not. She's a Senator in the Galactic Senate. So, she's very interested in politics, diplomacy, and that sort of thing.

[pokeboy]

[Oh! That's diverse. But...]

Umm... so a Senator is like a mayor? Or a leader? ....I don't really know a lot about politics.

[thefinaljedi]

Something like that. She's part of a council of thousands that takes care of laws and rules for the entire galaxy.

[pokeboy]

Sounds...busy. [or boring]

Being Jedi Knights sound exciting! We've got people called the police in my world, but we don't have any knights.

[thefinaljedi]

We have those too, the Jedi are a little different.

[And, they've definitely made it to the farm by now. It's a few fields, a lot of trees in the orchards, and some small buildings, the largest of which Luke is heading for.]

[pokeboy]

[Wow, look at it all anyway. Luke, aren't you glad that your company to it was a curious 10 year old boy? Who is following Luke along with his pokémon. Speaking of curious...]

What's in the buildings? [!] Are they the stables? With your animal inside?

[thefinaljedi]

[Luke nods to all of that, the rapid fire 10 year old boy questions not offputting at all.]

They're for storage, for tools, and my bantha, yes.

[He'll march right on up and open up the barn, revealing a huge furry creature that shuffles out into it's pen, snuffling around.]

[pokeboy]

It's big. It's huge. It's furry. Try to wipe this face of awe from Red's face with dynamite, it won't work. He wants to take steps closer, but holds back, lowering his voice down as well just in case.]

Do they mind new people? Can I say hello...?

[thefinaljedi]

Hamal loves people, especially new ones.

[He gestures towards the big fuzzball.]

Feel free. Just be warned. He loves to lick, and he does drool.

[pokeboy]

[If those are usually off-putters for people they are not for Red. He approaches up to Hamal with a little more excitement flowing free, stopping to whatever. Is there to stop him. Whether being in front of Hamal or a fence.]

Hey, Hamal! I'm Red. [He brings up a hand, not putting it right up into Hamal's face but close enough for him to sniff.]

Let's be friends. OK?

[thefinaljedi]

[Hamal shambles across the paddock, and he doesn't sniff, he just sticks out his tongue and wiggles it over to Red's hand, giving it a lick. The pink appendage is easily four feet long, and after probing the hand it begins to trace up towards the boy's face.]

Heh, you're probably his favorite person yet. Nobody else lets his tongue get anywhere close except me. Most people haven't ever seen anything like a Bantha, but I imagine there are some pokemon not too different.

[pokeboy]

[The length of the tongue is a surprise to see, but Red sticks to where he is, too curious at watching the tongue and the creature it's attached to than backing away. The texture of a tongue is always funny, and likely to be the same for this creature too. Or maybe it's the fact that Red's being licked by the world's (Luceti's, anyway!!) longest tongue that makes him laugh, from it licking at his hand to going up to his face.

--and when he gets slobbered on the face, that's a good time to take a step back, though still laughing.]

Grossss! [Red nearly goes to wipe himself with an arm, but lifts up a part of his jacket instead to clean off his face.] He's really friendly! Like the world's hairiest tauros... and the tongue of a lickitung!

[thefinaljedi]

[Luke cracks a smile and laughs, walking over to Hamal and rubs his head. Honestly, he'd expected that from Red. The big animal was really excited too, snuffling cheerfully.]

Haha, his name is Hamal, and he really is. He's just so big that people don't really know what to make of him. You're the first person who hasn't thought he was weird, and I think he can tell. Bantha bond with people easily.

[pokeboy]

Really? Doesn't he get many friends? He's so cool! [Actually.] Can I touch his horns? Does he mind that?

[thefinaljedi]

Heh, plenty of people find him interesting, but not many want to get close.

[And Luke shakes his head.]

Feel free. He likes that too.

[pokeboy]

[Plenty of people sound like a bore. And Red's going to get right back up near to him, reaching out (high apparently you are big, dude) to touch his horn at the side, stroking it.]

It's so cool... I've only touched a horn once. [Which was small and kind of dangerous to touch. But oh, a thought!] Do you battle with him?

[thefinaljedi]

[Hamal's are curled and rounded, not at all sharp. He snuffles again and nods his shaggy head.]

Battle?

[pokeboy]

Yeah, battle! I guess you don't, but we battle with pokémon where I'm from. It's part of being a trainer.
