21st Transmission [Video/Written/Action] (Forward Dated to March 17)
[Well it's about that time of year, when the weather begins to shift and it's beginning to get to the point where cultivating and preparing to for planting season is becoming a necessity. And to get all this started, Luke needs your help. He opens up the journal and smiles at the camera.]
Good afternoon Luceti,
For those of you that don't know me, my name is Luke Skywalker. For the last couple of years I've been tending to some of the farmlands outside the village, trying to build up emergency stores as well as bringing a bit of self-sufficiency to the enclosure. And as some of you may know, within the last year both Nami and Applejack have both departed, leaving the orchards near the farmland untended. I've been tending to them as best I can, but the vast majority of the help I had with the work has also returned home.
In the interest of better utilizing the space I'd like to request the help of anyone willing to volunteer their time with a bit of manual labor. I'm afraid it's simply not going to be possible to manage it all by myself, and any help would be greatly appreciated. It's beginning to near the planting season, after all. I'm happy to offer whatever services I can provide in exchange.
[There's a pause, and he seems to look somewhere off camera.]
On a related note, if there's anyone who knows anything about building irrigation systems, I'd appreciate any advice.
Thank you for your time, and may the Force be with you all.
[Shutting off the feed, he sends out two private messages.]
Written, Filtered to Loki
Loki, I know this is much less interesting than musical theater and cookies, but I was hoping I could get your help with a bit of magical work on the farm.
Written, Filtered to Trafalgar Law
Law, I figure we should probably revisit some of those supply caches and check on them. Possibly restock and take care of a few other things down that vein.

And Ginia? Yes, we've met.
Private, written
Ah, I see. Mind if I send her a message, so she can come with? If she's going to help, this is probably the perfect time to get her familiar with the caches.
Private, written
And that's certainly no trouble. May as well get her started early.
Private, written
Tomorrow, then. Bright and early - say nine, in front of the town clinic?
Private, written
Private, written ->. action?
[He may leave this entry around for his gardening ninja husband too.
Now to fire off a quick message to Ginia and fastforward to the next day, y/n?]
Action!
Luke's waiting outside the clinic around 8:45, bright eyed and ready for the day!]
Action!
(They're going to get hungry sooner or later.)
He's a bit early, but better that than late.]
Action!

Good morning. Thanks for coming out, you two.

[Beat.]
Any thoughts about which cache we'll hit first?
no subject
[He nods towards the clinic door.]
It's not much, but here we are.
no subject
After you guys.

Right this way, then.

Secondly, the memories of the attack by the droids in the building make him less willing to casually stop by. It hasn't changed since he was there last (not that long ago - business) and he nods as he follows behind the two. Takes out a notebook and a pen from a pocket within his coat for any notes he might need to take.]

I've been setting aside stuff before things get shifted in, sort of padding what I can from the item shop too. No food here, though. Any suggestions?
no subject
You remember how it was when the Kin'corrans here. We could barely get anything from the taps.
no subject
Water would be good. Dried food and meat would be good to store here, also things like granola bars.
Also I've heard of the situation with Kin'cora, but not in detail. How bad was the situation? How long did it last?
no subject
[Luke nods before turning to Ginia.]
The situation was bad enough that we had to ration food. It was for right around a week. And the Kin'corrans weren't precisely the most gracious guests.
[He looks back to Law, hoping the man remembered. They'd attacked the farm and been repulsed, and destroyed the forge.]
no subject
[How could he forget?]
But food shortages thanks to the Malnosso cutting off the shipments, the power cap being increased until the people with abilities had a bare trickle of what they normally were, and power and water shortages made things worse.
Not to mention that a lot of people in Kin'cora already had tensions with Lucetians thanks to events back in everyone's various homes. There would have problems even in the best of circumstances.
Everything together made it worse. And I can't say we were at our best either. No one made out an saint from that.
no subject
Was that the first time we were ever cut off from supplies?
[Ginia's hunch is yes, but it doesn't matter in the end. If it's happened before, it can and probably will happen in the future. Anything can and will and it's frustrating the village as a whole doesn't seem to take that into consideration.
She gives the supplies another look over.]
Honey wouldn't be bad to store either, both for flavoring bitter medicine and its own antibacterial properties.
no subject
[At the suggestion, Luke raises an eyebrow. Honey never really occurred to him, but in a way it does make sense.]
Think you can handle that one, then? With the farm, I've got a lot on my plate.
no subject
no subject
Of course. I can also collect the other food and water for this cache too.
