6th Transmission, Stopping to smell the Kibo...[Video/Action]

[Luke Skywalker has had an eventful few weeks, what with Anakin arriving, and breaking the news to his father about his rather dark future, not to mention the New Feather cycle. He'd patrolled the woods for newcomers, and spent many afternoons introducing himself to and attempting to help New Feathers get adjusted to life in Luceti. Not to mention the recent the blank...day from the last weekend.

That was beginning to be a common theme, blank days in his memory, and it was starting to be more than mildly disconcerting. Luke was genuinely starting to get angry at having his mind wiped by the Malnosso. To alleviate some of this, Luke decided that today would probably be an excellent day for exercise, and perhaps finding someone to train with. He'd talked to some people in the past about working on Jedi philosophy, martial training, and even meditative practice but due to the New Feather cycle, Anakin, and the confusion regarding the attack on the Battle Dome things had just not worked out.

He sends out a message to the village in Video form during the morning, before stepping outside to begin his own practice]

Good morning Luceti. I trust this morning finds you all well. I have a bit of a request. I would like to find someone to help me train today. Its been a while since I've had anyone to spar with, and equally as long since I've had an exercise partner. If anyone is interested, please contact me. I will be around Community House Five, so if you'd prefer, please stop by.

Moreover, if anyone is interested, I feel like today is a fine day for a hike and would love company.

[After his morning, he heads about his business in the village, stopping by the shops to pick up a few odds and ends like nutrient bars, a travelling pack, and some canteens.

Following this, he begins to make preparations for a rather lengthy hike, planning on heading out into the woods and just walking until he feels like its time to turn around. Why? Because he knows that he needs to relax and take time to smell the Kibo. Even if there aren't any Kibo flowers here. All the little things are starting to build up, and he can ill afford a tantrum of his own, having just prevented Anakin's explosion the previous week.

Its a fine spring day, and he does hope that someone will join him on his walk]

(OOC: Feel free to grab Luke pretty much anywhere. In the morning, in town, over the journal, before his hike, out on his walk, or really whatever you want.)

We could use wooden sparring tools just as easily, you know. But if you want a lightsaber duel, the battle dome is really the only option.

[He picks up on the inflection in her voice, he's quite aware of her failure, but the dark times were rather difficult for them all. He does wish she wouldn't fault herself for that]

[Wooden sparring blades would work normally, but one couldn't employ tràkata with anything other than a lightsaber, real or simulated. One of her less frequent tricks, but with Luke? She may very well need it.]

We could, but it isn't quite the same. And I am rusty when it comes to facing a proper Jedi. My Master would be ashamed.

Then, lets head to the Dome. I'm sure you're already prepared, and I'd rather not get hurt. I wouldn't want to shame your master. Whoever that might have been...

No one particularly talented or memorable, at least in regards to saber training. Most of our time was focused on developing my talents as a healer.

[Which had been uncomfortable and irritating at best, painful and frustrating at worst. Still. She had learned something of worth, in so much that she could use her healing talent properly. When she had a mind to do so. She shrugs it off and starts walking for the Dome.] And I sincerely doubt you'd be the one getting hurt Luke.

So you say. I know you to be a wily and crafty duelist, when you have the mind to be.

[That is to say, when she can stop fooling around long enough to actually try, or when she's not busy making trouble for Obi-Wan. He'd never quite understood why she referred to him as Little Skywalker, or his father as the Sand Brat, but for all her quirks, he did like her.]

Healers are rare, skilled ones even moreso. Never scoff at your talent.

The phrase most use is 'dirty cheat'.

[But it does make her smile. Her reputation among nobles notwithstanding, she knew enough of various saber forms to work around them and exploit their weaknesses should they appear. Not that it helps her much if she's manhandled around by the Force. She bats that thought aside as irrelevant. Ani was lost, but Ani was here, and in the end he redeems himself. That is all that matters in the end.]

So I was told when I was brought [Taken.] to the temple. Sometimes I wonder if I might not have been able to do more for the Order if I had remained.

After Han and Lando? Nobody's a dirty cheat.

[And...here we are, at the Dome]

Boy, the droids sure made a mess out of this place.

Being locked in with Red was frustrating. Not because I didn't care for his company, but. I do not take kindly to imprisonment.

[She shakes her head and sighs at the damage to the entrance and halls.]

The simulation rooms shouldn't be that damaged.

Of course, nobody likes being locked in.

[Luke walks over to the control panel and flicks it on. It works just fine]

Alright, you first Auntie.

As you will, Little Skywalker.

[She taps a few commands into the control panel, starting up a basic dueling hall, a fairly accurate replication of the one where she first learned her saber forms on Coruscant. The plain local and familiarity of it was soothing and basic, neither lending or gaining any advantage for her or Luke.

A few lines of code more had a variety of saber hilts resting on a nearby stand; of course Adele walks over and selects her two curved hilt sabers. One went in hand, the other on her belt. She didn't think she'd use the second, but. Habit had her keep it close.]

[Luke nods and walks inside, picking up his simple, single saber. Quietly, he also picks up his shoto-saber, in case she opted for a dual-sword style herself]

Any groundrules you'd like to set, Auntie?

No flying.

[Yes, she's still a little miffed about being dumped in the lake. Just a little. Even if she's grinning as she rolls out her shoulders and wraps the sleeves of her outer robe to keep them out of the way.]

I don't usually fly, you know that.

[Luke shrugs out of his long robe, revealing the dark tunic and pants beneath]

Then, shall we begin?

Which makes it all the more impressive when you do. [A half smile as she flicks her lit saber up in the traditional salute.]

Whenever you are ready.

[He returns Auntie's salute and ignites his own sword with its distinctive hiss]

Of course.

[He assumes a balanced Niman stance, certain she'll recognize it]

[With the typical Makashi flourish she settles into a side stance, saber dropping down into a low guard. Niman, she shouldn't be surprised, and she readies herself for whatever acrobatics Luke might choose to launch at her. She waits a heartbeat, two, and begins with a precise lunge.]

[Luke shifts to the side, allowing her weapon to dart past him. He responds in kind, sweeping his emerald blade up to clash with her blue, pushing it away before sweeping his lightsaber towards her midriff in a horizontal swipe.]

[She angles her blade as it move's past, sliding the beam against Luke's to gauge his strength. Not as strong as Anakin powered by the Dark Side and Fury, stronger than Luke when they were sparring. She'd have to adjust accordingly. Two quick steps in retreat, her saber sweeping down to parry that horizontal strike, glance it away from her midsection.]

[Luke can feel her movements, the Force guiding him, letting him predict her motions. As she parries and steps back, he shifts from Niman to Shien. Aggressively, he steps in and closes the distance, snapping off two quick downward strikes before completing the flurry with a voracious arcing cleave]

[That, that she hadn't counted on. At all. Jedi didn't shift forms mid-duel! They didn't shift forms at all; they had their preferences and stuck to them-

And that's enough time for introspection. She manages to avoid staggering under the first two strikes, blocking them both with quick parries. The advantage is clearly Luke's, however, That last cleave shakes her grip, but her high guard holds. Barely. Blade on blade braced against the bulk of Luke's momentum and strength, she was locked in.]

[He had his full weight behind the saber. She can't hold the guard much longer- but she wouldn't have to. Adele adjusts her grip, puts her weight onto the balls of her feet.

And deactivates her saber.]

[He'd expected this, Adele had clearly been trained as a Consular and not a Sentinel. That didn't mean it was entirely something he could prepare for. For an instant he stumbled forward, losing his footing for an instant, but rather than give her the opening she'd been hoping for, Luke turned this to his advantage. Using the Force to push himself forward faster, he ducked into a forward roll sweeping under any offense she could mount...

[While at the same time blasting Adele with telekinetic energy, hoping to push her back and buy him some breathing room]

[Space had been exactly what Adele had aimed for, time to think and readjust before darting back in for another attack. She didn't expect quite so much, and rolls with the push until she's a fair distance away, braced against the ground. But only for a moment.

She sprints forward, igniting her saber again and goes on the offensive, darting in with three sharp thrusts at whatever guard Luke manages to snap up.]

[Smartly, Luke deflects each individual strike, predicting her motions thanks to his connection to the Force. He responds with his own series of wide, sweeping strikes, angling his body to avoid counterattacks and taking advantage of the strength Shien afforded him]
