6th Transmission, Stopping to smell the Kibo...[Video/Action]

[Luke Skywalker has had an eventful few weeks, what with Anakin arriving, and breaking the news to his father about his rather dark future, not to mention the New Feather cycle. He'd patrolled the woods for newcomers, and spent many afternoons introducing himself to and attempting to help New Feathers get adjusted to life in Luceti. Not to mention the recent the blank...day from the last weekend.

That was beginning to be a common theme, blank days in his memory, and it was starting to be more than mildly disconcerting. Luke was genuinely starting to get angry at having his mind wiped by the Malnosso. To alleviate some of this, Luke decided that today would probably be an excellent day for exercise, and perhaps finding someone to train with. He'd talked to some people in the past about working on Jedi philosophy, martial training, and even meditative practice but due to the New Feather cycle, Anakin, and the confusion regarding the attack on the Battle Dome things had just not worked out.

He sends out a message to the village in Video form during the morning, before stepping outside to begin his own practice]

Good morning Luceti. I trust this morning finds you all well. I have a bit of a request. I would like to find someone to help me train today. Its been a while since I've had anyone to spar with, and equally as long since I've had an exercise partner. If anyone is interested, please contact me. I will be around Community House Five, so if you'd prefer, please stop by.

Moreover, if anyone is interested, I feel like today is a fine day for a hike and would love company.

[After his morning, he heads about his business in the village, stopping by the shops to pick up a few odds and ends like nutrient bars, a travelling pack, and some canteens.

Following this, he begins to make preparations for a rather lengthy hike, planning on heading out into the woods and just walking until he feels like its time to turn around. Why? Because he knows that he needs to relax and take time to smell the Kibo. Even if there aren't any Kibo flowers here. All the little things are starting to build up, and he can ill afford a tantrum of his own, having just prevented Anakin's explosion the previous week.

Its a fine spring day, and he does hope that someone will join him on his walk]

(OOC: Feel free to grab Luke pretty much anywhere. In the morning, in town, over the journal, before his hike, out on his walk, or really whatever you want.)

She did point out Drusilla's name in the journals, so that is something. I think this creature will come to regret her aggressive tendencies.

Call me if you do manage to disarm her before I find her. I owe her a cut or fifteen.

From what I'm told, they don't have weapons, but use their own speed and strength.

Then cut her hands from her wrists and her feet from her legs. [Low, vehement. Cold. It startles her, the depth of this anger. She focuses on the sound of the fountain, the programmed breeze. A shade of her home, but a shade was enough to calm her.]

Adele. You know that is crossing a line. Cruelty is not our way.

It's not human. It's less than human. It's a parasite Luke, a danger to the village.

[He was right. She knows he's right. But that lingering illness in the blood on the house, the certainty with which Sabriel and Buffy spoke-

Not that killing it would do anything. Jedi do not Murder.]

Human or not, it is a sentient being, Adele. And such cruelty...its something a Sith would do, not a Jedi.

[He's sure she's heard this, knows it, but...the depth of her anger...]

...it's an acceptable target for my frustrations. And it should not be. My primary concern should be defending the village, not hunting that. Thing.

[She shouldn't be this angry. It didn't feel like this was wholly hers. She certainly didn't get so violent about her anger, not that she remembers.]

Adele. Direct your rage to more productive ends. Protect, do not destroy. Guard, do not hunt. Guide, do not order. Those are tenants of the New Jedi Order. Mine. Don't forget, though, that such maliciousness will rebound in the end.

[Anger, spite, malice. She's watched those not sensitive to the force be rot from the inside out by harboring them. Had watched suspension and paranoia devour Ani. She could blame this place. She could blame what happened before she arrived. She could blame her own inability to process the emotions of those around her without indulging in them herself. But this still needs to be sorted. And she can't lash out at Drusilla over it.]

I will leave the hunting to those that are better suited to it.

[Luke's voice is as hard as iron, and as soft as silk. He's not going to allow this creature's transgressions to go unpunished, Adele. You know that. If a peaceful solution is possible he'll find it, but if not, then Drusilla is in for a hell of a shock from this man]

[Adele shakes her head with a soft smile and looks up at Luke. He is every inch his father's son despite never knowing him. But like this, his measured determination? It reminds her of someone else entirely.]

So much like your mother sometimes.

Truly? I never knew her. Were you close?

With as often as I was away? I would like to think I managed it to an extent. She was...a remarkable woman. A good woman. And a terribly determined one. The films did not do her justice.

I had assumed as such. They do not do Han or Leia justice either. Nor Lando, but I fear that no screen could capture his...smoothness.

Nor you, nor Ben. Or even Ani- he wasn't so...[She shakes her head. She's a little glad for the inaccuracies in that last duel. In his rage.] Much was understated or overstated, there.

He wasn't so dark, you feel?

[He's good at picking up on nuances, is our Luke]

No. He wasn't. You'll learn that yourself the more time you spend with him. He's a good man, our Ani. My little Sand-Brat. [She smiles a little.]

I'm already learning that about him. He IS a good man, just...filled with anger. Thanks to Palpatine.

[Luke sighs, the thought of that man still driving him to think violent thoughts]

It is hard to burn so brightly without a little anger to stoke the flames. He's passionate. And feels things keenly... It might have been better if I had rejoined the Order to help Ben with him.

Somehow, I think the end result would have been the same. As we've seen, and as I know more than even you and Ben, Palpatine was a truly terrifying force.

And I for all my pride thought I knew enough to leave. I thought I'd felt that coming from within the Order. I never thought to look elsewhere.

Its good you did leave. Otherwise, well...who knows what would have happened. To you, or Ben.

Order 66. [She shakes her head.] I'd have been cut down with the rest of them. Ben would have had to face Anakin on his own.

Correct. That is not at all something I think that would have gone well. You made the correct choice.
