21st Transmission [Video/Written/Action] (Forward Dated to March 17)

[Well it's about that time of year, when the weather begins to shift and it's beginning to get to the point where cultivating and preparing to for planting season is becoming a necessity. And to get all this started, Luke needs your help. He opens up the journal and smiles at the camera.]

Good afternoon Luceti,

For those of you that don't know me, my name is Luke Skywalker. For the last couple of years I've been tending to some of the farmlands outside the village, trying to build up emergency stores as well as bringing a bit of self-sufficiency to the enclosure. And as some of you may know, within the last year both Nami and Applejack have both departed, leaving the orchards near the farmland untended. I've been tending to them as best I can, but the vast majority of the help I had with the work has also returned home.

In the interest of better utilizing the space I'd like to request the help of anyone willing to volunteer their time with a bit of manual labor. I'm afraid it's simply not going to be possible to manage it all by myself, and any help would be greatly appreciated. It's beginning to near the planting season, after all. I'm happy to offer whatever services I can provide in exchange.

[There's a pause, and he seems to look somewhere off camera.]

On a related note, if there's anyone who knows anything about building irrigation systems, I'd appreciate any advice.

[Shutting off the feed, he sends out two private messages.]

Loki, I know this is much less interesting than musical theater and cookies, but I was hoping I could get your help with a bit of magical work on the farm.

Law, I figure we should probably revisit some of those supply caches and check on them. Possibly restock and take care of a few other things down that vein.

[Didn't particularly feel like sharing his backstory with everyone]

[OH DEADPOOL...]

If I just sing it myself that just ruins the entire point of the song. I mean, I'll just seem like a jackass.

[A pause for a moment followed by a finger point]

And don't leap on that one, farm boy.

Sure, sure.

[He grins, repressing a laugh at least.]

Alright, let's get some farmer stuff then. See you at the item store soonish?

[He'll just cross his arms a little and just roll with it]

Yep. Sounds good.

[And Deadpool will find Luke waiting just inside the shop a few minutes later.]

[He gives a wave, wings sort of extending outwards as he does so]

Alright farm boy, let's make me into a hick.

[Luke offers a salute back.]

I think we can manage that. I saw some raggedy looking overalls right over there.

Does that mean what I think you mean?

[Makeover time!]

It does. Let's get you suited up.

[He heads over to a section of clothes that would probably be suitable for a general store circa 1930. Overalls, straw hats, the works.]

This what you had in mind?

I think its more hicked down would be the accurate term. Suited up would imply I'm getting some fancy brand clothes. A nice sport jacket and the like.

[He waves a hand in a sort of fifty-fifty way]

Kinda sorta. The overalls are alright. For the hat I was thinking something a little different. Little more flashy.

[Luke's...just not gonna touch that, and he'll move on to the hat section.]

Flashy? What, do you want a feather in it or something? I don't really know how you can make a straw hat more...flashy.

It needs to be about 50% cooler.

[Not all a helpful description]

That hat says I am a regular farmer, where my hat should say I am a badass farmer.

So, what would you say would make it more...badass? A belt of bullets around it?

That is certainly a start, maybe a different colour too.

[Luke looks over at a rack of bushman hats that might've fallen out of Crocodile Dundee]

Like these?

Closer. Still needs to be about twenty percent cooler.

[Deadpool has a glance through the hats]

Oh, yeah. How I got the name Deadpool.

[He sort of strolls about the hats]

So I was dying of terminal cancer, had about 36 tumors. I was in special forces at the time. After finishing a mission I just started vommiting and passed out. Anyway, a man came to me and said they were working on an experimental cure, but I'd have to sign some paperwork and such.

[He picks up a black hat]

Black works for colour, by the way.

[He twirls it around and just sort of tosses it]

So, me being quite literally on death's door, sign the paperwork. I get sent to this facility, top secret, far up North. They inject me with a bunch of things, cut me open, the works. They were trying to recreate a super soldier, same one who is here, Steve Rogers. Hell, they've been trying to recreate that formula for years. These ones had a slightly different idea, and were planning to make someone who could heal from anything, and basically wreak havoc.

[He strums his finger along as he walks]

[Luke...picks through hats and sort of listens to that rather bizarre story. And...let's be honest, he has almost no context, so he just sort of nods along.]

That's...certainly something. Did the disease go into remission? And, why didn't the military just talk to Steve? I mean, surely he'd be willing to help.

Well depending which of my multiverse you are from, he was either frozen in solid ice, or was lost in some crazy time stream. Besides, I think they've tried to make it again and failed multiple times.

[He shrugs]

Well, I my cancer was halted by the implementation of the experiment. I worked on a team for awhile until I had killed one of my team members. After that I was designated a failure, and kept around as a sort of experimental plaything for a couple of sick doctors. They would cut into folks just to see how they would tick, no other real reason. They seemed to get off on the pain. They kept us alive as long as they could just because we were entertainment for them. There was a running bet amongst us of how long each of us would live. A deadpool as it were.

After killing those bastards, and anyone who was keeping that hell hole running, I took the name Deadpool and it has stuck ever since.

[He'll gloss over the falling in love with Death. That is something close to his heart. No one really could ever understand it]

[Luke's face darkens at that. Mad science was all to similar to Luceti, and to a group he knew rather well. Maw Installation's madmen had truly given scientists a bad name, and sick didn't begin to describe some of the nightmares there.]

I'm sorry, Deadpool. That's not right. Any of it.

[He gives a bit of a shrug]

Eh, you got nothing to be sorry for. It ain't the sorta shit you are into. Bad stuff is going to happen regardless.

[He hadn't seen much of the good side of life for the most part]

No, it isn't, but that doesn't make it right.

[Luke shrugs and pulls down a black hat with a few alligator teeth on it, and an odd red stripe around the brim.]

How's this?

[He holds it up a moment, and puts it on]

That'll do, pig. That'll do.

[Just going to pat Luke on the head there]
