21st Transmission [Video/Written/Action] (Forward Dated to March 17)
[Well it's about that time of year, when the weather begins to shift and it's beginning to get to the point where cultivating and preparing to for planting season is becoming a necessity. And to get all this started, Luke needs your help. He opens up the journal and smiles at the camera.]
Good afternoon Luceti,
For those of you that don't know me, my name is Luke Skywalker. For the last couple of years I've been tending to some of the farmlands outside the village, trying to build up emergency stores as well as bringing a bit of self-sufficiency to the enclosure. And as some of you may know, within the last year both Nami and Applejack have both departed, leaving the orchards near the farmland untended. I've been tending to them as best I can, but the vast majority of the help I had with the work has also returned home.
In the interest of better utilizing the space I'd like to request the help of anyone willing to volunteer their time with a bit of manual labor. I'm afraid it's simply not going to be possible to manage it all by myself, and any help would be greatly appreciated. It's beginning to near the planting season, after all. I'm happy to offer whatever services I can provide in exchange.
[There's a pause, and he seems to look somewhere off camera.]
On a related note, if there's anyone who knows anything about building irrigation systems, I'd appreciate any advice.
Thank you for your time, and may the Force be with you all.
[Shutting off the feed, he sends out two private messages.]
Written, Filtered to Loki
Loki, I know this is much less interesting than musical theater and cookies, but I was hoping I could get your help with a bit of magical work on the farm.
Written, Filtered to Trafalgar Law
Law, I figure we should probably revisit some of those supply caches and check on them. Possibly restock and take care of a few other things down that vein.

I'm there every day from dawn till around noon, when it starts to get hot. And some afternoons. Whenever's convenient for you, my friend.

[True to his word, the next day Remy arrives early in the morning at the farm, an hour or so after dawn. Hey, it was early for him. It was better to try and get any physical work done early or late, outside the hottest hours of the day, even if it was only newly into spring.]
[Action]
Spotting Remy, he stands up and waves.]
Morning Gambit. How's it going?
[Action]
[He cast his own gaze over towards the device.] 'nd what be that?
[Action]
[He nods towards the wooden thing. A pair of bars with a crank attached, and some sort of door-like mechanism.]
It's supposed to be a sluice gate. I've got it mostly built, was going to put it in in a little bit. It's a two man job though, so, I was waiting for you.
[Action]
[Action]
Basically? I need you to slide the gate into that hole there while I hold back the water. Nothing too complicated, but with the barrier interfering with the Force I can't manage all of that by myself.
[Which wasn't technically true, it'd just be a lot more taxing on him than having help.]
[Action]
[And since he actually brought that up.] Had been meanin' to ask how that 'xactly worked, outside the whole hand wavey side of it.
[Action]
[Luke stands up and plants his feet in a wide stance. The effort of this is not going to be insubstantial, really.]
When someone sensitive to the Force lets it flow through him, they are essentially manipulating the life-force of the universe. There's great power in that, and it's really as simple...technically speaking...as willing it to do what you want. Sometimes it resists, but usually that's all in your mind.
For something like this, I'm simply going to manipulate the water, stop it from moving over the slot with telekinetic energy. In essence, I'm making the Force into a solid thing, taking the energy and converting it into another kind of energy.
[Action]
That all work down to a molecular level?

Day ain't gettin' 'ny younger, lets get this done for ya.

Right, well, just slide it into the slot when I get the water out of the way.
[He trusts Toph's measurements, of course, so it should fit just fine.
Shutting his eyes, Luke begins to concentrate on the water, pushing his hands sideways like he's parting a curtain. And low and behold, a barrier seems to form, holding back the water and clearing out the trough.]

Perfect. That's pretty much got the irrigation system set up. That was the last of it.

Too bad Stormy ain't still 'round, had built in weather control 'nd waterin' all in one.
