18th Transmission: May the Force Be With You, Always. [Action/Video]
[Luke knew immediately what had happened, the moment the Force Bond between he and his old friend was severed. Not dulled, but just cut completely, as it had when someone died. Despite that, he hurried home and called out to the man. No answer came save Artoo's concerned whistle, and the Jedi sighed heavily, though he wasn't sure if it was in relief that Obi-Wan Kenobi was gone, or sadness that he was now alone. Obi-Wan, Mordin, Shepard, and Lupin all gone now. He was once again the last Jedi.
Entering the man's bedroom he shook his head at the neat pile of letters and...a doorknob resting on the bed. His old mentor had such a strange sense of humor, enough to at least bring a weak smile to his face. Luke picked up the letter addressed to him and read, his real hand remaining unsteady, the implant the only part of him completely steady. It echoed so much of what he'd heard from Ben the last time they'd parted. You are among the the finest Jedi I've ever met, the last of the old order, and the first of the new. The hope for the future and a reminder of the past. You were my finest pupil, and I wish I could have had the chance to stand with you now. May the Force be with you, my friend. The memory, five years past now, leaped to the forefront of his mind. Only this time there was no Threepio to spoil the moment, only Artoo sitting stoically and waiting, a sad little chirp the only sound.]
That's right Artoo, Obi-Wan's gone home. Back to Tatooine. [Though, Luke's voice is hollow. He knows what's waiting, and what Ben's leaving behind. The Dark Times, when his father, Obi-Wan's apprentice, Darth Vader had methodically hunted down and killed all but four or five Jedi. Isolation and guilt, followed by a chance encounter with two droids and a young farmboy. Nothing he'd wish on anyone, least of all his truest friend.]
I guess we should deliver the messages, right Artoo?
[Bweep doot deet doot. The droid seemed pretty agreeable, even rolling over to Luke and extending his little claw comfortingly.]
I'm alright, yea. Let's...get this over with.
Video
[After he collects his emotions, a very quiet, stoic Luke Skywalker appears on the journals with Artoo beside him for support. In his hand he has a small leaflet of papers, and his other hand rests on the droid's dome. When he speaks, his voice is firm, but there's a quavering feeling to his words. He's obviously forcing himself to do this.]
Luceti, I regret to inform you that Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi has returned to his home on Tatooine. He left behind a few letters, to Adele Leblanc, Ami Mizuno, Loki Laufeyson, Saori, Beast, Steve Rogers, and Spock. Also, he left a gift for Clint Barton. I will keep them here at House 46 until you are able to pick them up.
And I'm sorry, but I won't be able to cover my shifts at the clinic for a day or two. Please forgive me.
And May the Force be with you, all of you, always.
[Luke shuts down the feed with that. If anyone needs to find him he'll be at home for the next few days, or at Good Spirits having a drink, likely hot chocolate.]
[ video ]
You know Spock's still a kid right? Crap. Crap.
[ He knew Spock had been friends with Obi-Wan. As a kid he probably wouldn't know what to make of this, but when he got bigger? Crap what about those bonds he talked about? Lupin's disappearance had seriously hurt him, was Obi-Wan as tightly connected? ]
[ video ]
[Luke shakes his head. How would Spock take it?]
I can hold his letter till he's back to normal. It's probably better that way.
Re: [ video ]
No... no yeah, I get it. Auuuugh. How do I explain why he got a letter for this guy? Hell, I don't know if he's talked to him since coming back....
But yeah, keeping the letter would be a good idea. When he gets back to himself, I'll tell him to come get it.

I'm sorry to hear that, Luke.
[Luke forces a weak smile, and lies through his teeth.]
It's for the best. He does have important things to do.
[He doesn't smile himself, now. He's been in the position enough times now to be able to see that most of the time people will try to cover up how hurt they were by someone going home. He wants to help Luke feel better, but he wants to make sure he handles this sensitively.]
But that can only make less hard to a certain amount for those left behind. I know it's... gotta be rough.

This is because as soon as she sees it, Ami is already on her way out the door and over to Luke's as quickly as possible, an impulse that doesn't even let her tell him so first. In the back of her mind, she knows it's a bit pushy, and that she might be intruding... but no one truly wants to be alone, and Luke hasn't even asked to be.
And when someone leaves... it helps a little to know someone is still here. So before too long, there's a knock at Luke's door and Ami waiting outside.]
[Action]
When she knocks, he's opening the door and stepping outside to just...hug her. Tightly, closely, testing to make sure she's still there. That she's really there. And that she's...solid. The Malnosso's final kidnapping had left Luke without even so much as a goodbye handshake from his old mentor.]
Ami...

[Action] + tl;dr /)_(\
He's leaned on Obi-wan a great deal, and no doubt foolishly. You let yourself start liking someone a bit despite all efforts and they go and vanish. Just like Gregor.
It seems so pointless.
He recalls the way the man just accepted, and never really tried to go into the moralistic nonsense the mortals always seemed to love. Just accepting. It's an odd feeling still, and he'd almost gotten used to it, learned to like it. It's a subtle sort of poison, having someone that just wants to listen, and not for any apparent ploy. It makes you want to say things best kept quiet in the service of the greater game.
And worse, Obi-wan asked him questions he didn't so much have a difficult time answering, but ones that when answered, he couldn't help but poke holes in his own logic. Not the most pleasant feeling, that. But he can't bring himself to then think it's best the man was gone.
What a mess.
Rather than reply by video, Loki goes to Luke's house without announcement. He simply shows up on the doorstep and knocks, looking as collected as always.]
[Action] That's cool, I...apologize for Luke being less than talkative.
Good afternoon, Loki. Please, come in.
[Despite everything, he can't really bring himself to trust Loki. He doesn't dislike the man, he just doesn't trust him. The meditation sessions and working on magic and the Force together have done wonders for his opinion, but Loki's mind was still to chaotic and random for him. And right now? That cold, cold mentality, the withdrawn feelings the other man exudes are somewhat disturbing.
Though, the Jedi does agree. Obi-Wan has a long hard road ahead of him. Isolation, guilt, lost chances and watching the entire Galaxy fall to ruin around him. It would be better if he was here.
He'd always had a good answer for everything, even friends disappearing. And this was the third time they'd parted. First on the Death Star, again on Coruscant, and now Luceti. And each time, it left Luke feeling a little emptier.]

[She never really knew Obi Wan beyond name and appearance - and mostly, only what Luke may have mentioned of him from time to time.] If they need an extra hand there, I'm available.
[Voice]
[He's really, really grateful for the support. The clinic was important but he couldn't really afford to be there, making mistakes. That would accomplish nothing and he wanted to be able to clear his head before going back to that.]
He kind of wants to punch something.]
Luke. I'm sorry. You need anything?

[Action | Good Spirits]
She is not a recurrent visitor to Good Spirits, as she knows the risks behind turning the drink into a vice for someone like her. But after the loss of similar friends -of someone that close to him-, she knows it is only fair to be with him, as well. She cannot know when would her time end.
When Luke's first cup almost finishes, a hand serves him another beside him, and a familiar blond girl quietly sits beside him.]
[Action | Good Spirits]
The big woman's hand reaching down draws his eyes up. And up. And he nods gratefully to his friend.]
Thanks Daisy.

For several moments, Beast just stands there in his room, journal laid out in his paws, staring vacantly at Luke's announcement. Finally, he manages a voice response, speaking to the Jedi - the only sign of Obi-Wan left in Luceti for him - in a low, hollow tone.]
I... w-will come for the letter... Luke.
[Voice] s'ok Lil, but I have to let the ladyluke one go. I can't brain that post anymore with him.
Of course. I'll be here. With tea.
