Loathesome doesn't even cover it. He wasn't even the worst of the enemies we faced, but he was definitely the start of it.

And...that is a most curious thing. What...is a Nobody, as well?

After we defeated Ansem? We found out he wasn't Ansem...he was Xehanort's Heartless, and the real enemy we had to defeat was Xemnas, Ansem's nobody. [See how it gets complicated, Luke?]

A Nobody's what's left after the heart is consumed...if a person's heart is strong enough, the body and soul will combine to make a physical form and a strong Nobody. [...] There's a few of them here in Luceti, actually, including mine.

That sounds extremely complicated, not unlike some of the odd experiences from my world.

[Luke's expression darkens]

You...say there are Dark versions of others here in Luceti? Are they not something you should be worrying about?

It's funny how so many of us in Luceti come from odd worlds, isn't it?

[She shakes her head suddenly.] No way. The ones that are here...they're on our side. But there were some people here a few months ago that were pretty dangerous.]

Wait, so...Heartless are bad, but...Nobodys are OK?

[You lost him!]

...sort of! I mean, my brother's technically a Heartless now, but I wouldn't call him bad at all. And there are a lot of Nobodies that are actually bad, but there are a few good guys in the mix. It really just depends on whose rules and beliefs they're following, I think.

[It's cool, sometimes she doesn't quite understand it either.]

Ahh. It all sounds fairly complicated. But definitely something thats better to know rather than not know. Are there many people from your world here?

Well...there used to be a lot more. [She starts counting on her fingers.] There's me, Riku, Xion, Roxas and Luke...we all live in the same house. In another house there's Ven, Aqua, Naminé, Kohan and Kiroku. [Which are names for the Replica Riku, and the Data-Riku. Kairi feels it's important to give them all their own identities.]

We've had a lot of friends come and go over the years.

That is quite a lot. How many of them are...well...not human anymore?

Out of that whole list? Six.

My. And they have all fought along side you against the Darkness in your world?

...for the most part, yeah. There are some that can be seen as a traitor, but he's learned his lesson, I think. The others though were smart and knew that Xemnas was wrong.

Well, thats a relief. The last thing I want to worry about is new enemies within the village.

All of the people you'd ever need to worry about from our world? They're gone. I just hope it stays that way.

Wonderful. There are no people from my world who are dangerous here now, but...should you ever hear the names Palpatine or Exar Kun, my advice would be to run. Fast.

Can I ask what's so bad about them? I mean not that I don't believe you, but I'm just curious.

Palpatine is the Sith Lord responsible for the deaths of the entire Jedi Order a few days prior to my birth. He is one of the most powerful Force users to have ever lived, and his very words are capable of corrupting even the most resolved.

Exar Kun is, or...was a fallen Jedi. He lived 5,000 years before my birth, and started a galactic war that nearly destroyed the Jedi. He was so powerful and strong with the Dark Side that his spirit managed to transcend death, living on as a powerful ghost guarding three ancient artifacts.

...what are the chances of them coming to a place like this? I know we can't ever really be sure, but they really don't sound like the kind of guys we want around.

I've got no idea how likely it is. I know the Malnosso would have a great difficulty containing them though, as both are vicious, malignant people skilled at deception. Needless to say, I watch New Feather cycles very closely, just in case.

Can't say I blame you. There's a handful of people I look out for during each New Feather cycle, too. It's a normal thing. ...guess I should tell you about who to look out for from my world, huh?

I suppose, that may be helpful, so that I can inform you and keep my own watch.

There's a lot of them, but I think the ones you should really be wary of are Xemnas and Vanitas. They're the two that really know how to use the darkness against us and are willing to harm people to get their way.

...Vanitas just left a few months ago, actually. He hurt a bunch of my friends. Xemnas hasn't been here though, and I hope it stays that way.

Are there any easy ways to identify them, or their compatriots by sight?

Xemnas is easy to spot because of his big black coat. It's a trademark of the Organization. He's also got really long white hair and orange eyes.

Vanitas is a little bit trickier because he looks so much like one of the good guys, when he's not wearing his helmet. He spends a lot of time with this silver helmet on, but when you can see his face he's got black spiky hair and gold eyes. Those are the easiest ways to spot them.
