Good morning, anyone who may be listening in at this hour. I have a few questions, for anyone who may or may not be so inclined to answer them.

Firstly, does anyone remember anything that happened last weekend at all? I have spent the last few days meditating, and it seems worrisome that several days have just blanked out of my mind. I feel as though something important happened, but I can't remember.

Secondly, does anyone around here know anything about acquiring power supplies for machinery? I've broached the topic with a few others, but I would like to ask everyone as a whole. I'm attempting to reconstruct some of the technology from my world and would need a few small odds and ends to do so.

Finally, I'm told by some people in the village that there is a series of popular movies...that apparently are about me and the other members of the Rebel Alliance. I...find myself curious, and would very much like to see these for myself. I will admit the thought unnerves me a little, but I'd like to know if anyone has a copy they would be willing to share.

[Luke tries the noodles, taking a few bites, still fumbling with chopsticks a bit, but smiles after a moment.]

Whats this called, Rin? It's really great!

Oh that? It's just udon, nothing much.

Its not something I've ever tried before. Is it from Japan, in your world?

That's right, yeah. How'd you know?

You did say that was where you were from. Just a lucky guess

That's a pretty good guess! But then, I guess you're like some sort of guru.

[Guru? Kid, you don't know the half of it!]

Nah, I'm just an old hand at this sort of stuff. Probably comes from my uncle.

[Luke finishes his noodles in quite a hurry. He's anxious to help Rin with his problem]

Alright. Lets get moving. This time of day, the playground should be pretty deserted.

[Wow fast. Well then, he'll just get his sword, ditch the apron, and leap back over to get ready to go]

Alright, I'm following you!

[Luke leads the way out to the playground, setting down a small satchel and sitting down, crosslegged in the grass. Its chilly, but not terribly cold, and he motions for Rin to do the same thing]

Sit. Join me.

[Uh, okay. He'll go and brush the tail a bit, and takes a seat. Man it's not as cold as it could be, but] Alright.

[Luke nods, closing his eyes and placing his hands on his knees, palms down]

Do as I do. Close your eyes, and put your palms on your knee. Keep your back straight, and start to inhale slowly. Keep your mind as clear as you can. Think of a single point. A star, or something usually helps me focus. Focus on that single point of light, and just allow yourself to breath.

[Okay? Okay. He closes his eyes, emulating the position which Luke says to emulate and then... focus? Okay what should he focus on? Not a star, he'll go with- ... his dad? No, he shakes his head. Boobs? ...heeeeeh no ! Wait lustful thoughts probably aren't good. Sukiyaki! That just makes him hungry. He shakes his head again, still trying to come up with something to focus on. A single point?

Wait. A point! So...

...Uh.

Maybe the mo- no that's dumb. Let's just try the star thing. Breathe.]

[Luke can feel the young man's difficulty. He's clearly never done something quite like this before. Though he supposes that isn't abnormal, as Rin doesn't seem to be quite that in touch with his inner self]

Try the star. Just a single point of light in a canvas of dark. Feel that point. Breath deeply. And if it helps, try and follow what I am saying.

There is no emotion, there is peace.

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.

There is no passion, there is serenity.

[Luke intentionally leaves out the final line of the Old Jedi Code, not seeming applicable to Rin]

Focus. Don't let your mind wander.

[No emotion... peace? But emotions are important! ..Maybe this is some sort of guru thing though, it sounds like something the Kyoto boys would do. So he breathes in and out, trying to focus on that stare and think about what Luke says only instead of all the other stuff.

Ignorance... knowledge. But he's dumb--- FOCUS.

Passion... serenity. What does- FOCUS.

Okay. Breathing in and out. trying to focus]

There is no emotion, there is peace.

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.

There is no passion, there is serenity.

[Luke repeats himself evenly, reciting a portion of the Jedi mantra.]

Allow the words to sink in. Let go of your troubles. Let go of fear. and hold onto that star.

[Fear - who said he was - okay no, he is afraid. and he's afraid of something very real and very dangerous, probably even to this guy next to-

No, no. Try to focus. Okay, knowledge, serenity, peace. Knowledge, serenity, - that's the wrong order. Okay focus.

He breathes, he's clearly trying to do it but]

[Luke can feel Rin's emotions now, a young man full of turmoil. He can also feel him trying, and thats a good start]

Focus, Peace, Serenity, Knowledge. Breath in deeply.

It takes time to be able to focus, Rin. Don't be discouraged. Just find your star, and hold onto it. Thats where we all have to begin.

[Star this star that he doesn't even get it. UGH GUH. Well okay. Peace. Serenity. Knowledge. No forget that lets just think of the star. He still doesn't quite get it but lets just picture... Father Fujimoto's back. And focus on it]

[Luke watches his friend's meditation for some time before he speaks again, his voice a soothing, calming tone]

Its alright. Don't get frustrated. Again, these things take time. Just focus. Try and hold that focus for a full minute. That's a good place to start.

I'm doin- [No, don't be defensive, that'll make worse. Sigh. Okay, focus on that same concept, inhale and... okay he can do that, right? Yeah, he can]

You can do it.

[Patiently, Luke begins to wait, silently trying to time Rin. This is something he can see is going to take some time[
