Good morning, anyone who may be listening in at this hour. I have a few questions, for anyone who may or may not be so inclined to answer them.

Firstly, does anyone remember anything that happened last weekend at all? I have spent the last few days meditating, and it seems worrisome that several days have just blanked out of my mind. I feel as though something important happened, but I can't remember.

Secondly, does anyone around here know anything about acquiring power supplies for machinery? I've broached the topic with a few others, but I would like to ask everyone as a whole. I'm attempting to reconstruct some of the technology from my world and would need a few small odds and ends to do so.

Finally, I'm told by some people in the village that there is a series of popular movies...that apparently are about me and the other members of the Rebel Alliance. I...find myself curious, and would very much like to see these for myself. I will admit the thought unnerves me a little, but I'd like to know if anyone has a copy they would be willing to share.

[Rogue had seen him on the Network and had basically been making a practice of avoiding him because... it's Luke Freaking Skywalker and there is just no way she'd be able to deal with that in a calm and rational manner. Being told one is fictional is rude, and she's had to deal with things like this with Buffy the Vampire Slayer (!!!) and being told she was in comic books.

We've got a copy of some of the movies, if you're sure.

But you should be aware this has also happened before.

I am. I'm more than mildly curious, and honestly having people talking about it has made that curiosity grow and grow.

Besides, it may be fun to see how things in the movies work, right?

It has? How often?

I've experienced it before, more or less once per year.

I've heard its fairly common here, but that doesn't make it any less disconcerting.

How long are these lapses, usually?

Like this time, a few days. And each time, the Malnosso have pretended it's nothing, or a shift irregularity.

You know, the more time passes, the more I'm beginning to dislike these Malnosso characters.

I agree. [Her reasons for volunteering for the coming mission are entirely separate from the Malnosso. It's to keep Usagi safe from them.]

I believe they are our enemy as much as, or more than, the Third Party.

[He's set up his little video-recording station again, but his expression is troubled.]

"Hello, Luke. In response to your first question, the same thing happened to me. I was wondering if you could perhaps explain why there was a lightsaber display case in my room, since I never keep mine in one, but I suppose you won't remember either."

[He shrugs, then continues.]

"As regards those films, they were mentioned to me as well. I'm not certain whether I wish to see them or not, but if you would like me to join you, I certainly shall."

[...Well then he might as well ask]

So when was the next meditation focusing thing again?

Whenever you would like, Rin. Perhaps later this afternoon, or tomorrow if that would be better?

I am inclined to agree. Having been out and battled with the Third Party recently, I feel that in truth the Malnosso are using us to fight their war. Those creatures that I fought were hardly the most intimidating of things, but they seemed to have a great deal of power over the innate energy of this world.

[Luke has no idea she's involved with the mission, but he'll be happy all the same]

Oh, and forgive me. I don't believe we've met. I'm Luke Skywalker.

[Luke shakes his head in response to the Lightsaber case]

"No Ben, I don't recall adding any display cases. I did notice a few scorch marks on some of my robes, which look oddly like they were created by Force Lightning. The burning is consistent with that, anyway."

[another thoughtful look]

"Well, I wouldn't try and pressure you into watching the films if you didn't wish to. If...what I'm told is true, they seem to primarily detail the Galactic Civil War, between Yavin and Endor. I would understand if you didn't wish to know what was coming, but I find myself oddly amused by the thought of watching my past."

However, don't make the mistake of being sympathetic to the Third Party, either. They will definitely kill you with the opportunity.

I had not intended to give them the opportunity, but if it is the will of the Force then that is the way of things. I am not going to slaughter them wholesale, either, though it seems our gaolers may like me to. Either way, something about the conflict between the two feels problematic. Almost like the Malnosso are invaders, and not the other way around.

And its nice to meet you, Ms. Mizuno.

"Well, that is distressing. It suggests that our previous weekend saw visits from one or more Jedi aside from ourselves, apparently not friendly ones, and that means there's every possibility it could happen again."

[He looks like he's about to add something else, then seems to look around him and shake his head.]

"Regardless, I would be interested in seeing the movies centered around my own past, if you'd care to watch those as well. It is my hope that it will answer... questions."

[Like how Palpatine turned Anakin from his closest friend into his mortal enemy.]

"Yes indeed. Most worrisome. Since that young man, Luke von Fabre and I spoke, I've begun to think about the possibility that during a regular cycle of New Feathers a Dark Jedi could possibly be abducted by the Malnosso. I for one do not find the prospect of being host to Palpatine, or worse yet a man like Exar Kun, or...my father..."

[He trails off, not anxious to go further with that train of thought]

"I would be interested in seeing those films as well. Why do we not have a...what was it...a movie marathon?"

[He feels a stab of pain at the mention of Anakin coming to Luceti, as if there was some fresh trauma there, but it immediately fades without any insight into the source. Luke was certainly right, though, dark Jedi coming to Luceti was a troubling prospect indeed. A man like Exar Kun could inflict incredible damage, or, worse, a man like Palpatine may well be capable of manipulating the population into inflicting it for him. They did not need a dark cult operating locally.

Better not to focus. Prepare for the possibility and move on.]

"We shall have to prepare contingencies in case of such an event.

[He grins.]

"In any case, a movie marathon sounds like an entertaining notion. I understand popcorn is required."

[Luke just nods, knowing its best not to worry too much. The possibility is rather remote]

"Popcorn, and that fizzy drink. Soda? I'm also told that candy is popular. Should we plan this for this evening?"

I'm workin' these days, like a respectable guy. [ . . . Rin] But I bet I could do it this afternoon, yeah.

"Um. Not Soda. I had an... experience. Besides, Adele would kill me.

This evening, however, would be perfect."

[... The first question disturbs Robert a little, but it's the second that really piques his interest.]

... M-Might I... enquire as to the... p-particular sort of technology you are... a-attempting to reconstruct...?

More precisely, the Third Party disapprove of what's being done here. This may relate to the way it damages our worlds for us to be here. However, their solution is indeed to take our lives.

A fellow engineer, eh? I'm willing to share some of my knick-knacks and expertise, of course, but I can't exactly give them away! Ho ho ho!
