Good morning, anyone who may be listening in at this hour. I have a few questions, for anyone who may or may not be so inclined to answer them.

Firstly, does anyone remember anything that happened last weekend at all? I have spent the last few days meditating, and it seems worrisome that several days have just blanked out of my mind. I feel as though something important happened, but I can't remember.

Secondly, does anyone around here know anything about acquiring power supplies for machinery? I've broached the topic with a few others, but I would like to ask everyone as a whole. I'm attempting to reconstruct some of the technology from my world and would need a few small odds and ends to do so.

Finally, I'm told by some people in the village that there is a series of popular movies...that apparently are about me and the other members of the Rebel Alliance. I...find myself curious, and would very much like to see these for myself. I will admit the thought unnerves me a little, but I'd like to know if anyone has a copy they would be willing to share.

For the moment, nothing too complex. A few simple, rather mindless droids would be my first project. After that, I'm not sure.

You do? What sort of technology are they familiar with?

It... is v-variable, but much of th-them are... familiar with "twentieth-century" r-robotics and electronics, for... wh-what that is worth to you...

... the t-two I am... most familiar with the abilities of, th-though, are both very intelligent, and... c-capable of improvisational work.

[Don, especially. Robert has long-admired his own ability - for multiple reasons, of course.]

H-However... Luceti itself seems to... p-present problems for such endeavours...

I'm not terribly familiar with those sorts of things, though to be fair I don't really know what century that would be for me. I'm fairly sure the Galactic Calender is quite different than yours.

But, go on. What do you mean "problems?"

... F-Firstly, power sources are, er, at a p-premium. Anything similar to an engine s-seems to be... intensely difficult to o-obtain, and... vehicles are essentially n-nonexistent...

That seems to be the trouble I'm having. I...think I could reconstruct some Droid batteries if I had a few bits of wire, and maybe a few bits and bobs. I don't suppose you know too much about microconduction cables, do you?

Well... [Thoughtfully:] I have s-some limited knowledge about... T-Terran technology that... m-might be similar. Nanoscale w-wiring, as an example... or microfilament c-cables...

[... Neither of which you could find in Luceti, unfortunately.]

... Cables are... d-difficult to come by here, though... e-even individual, rather pr-primitive wiring sets are... rare.

Well, what I'm hoping is to maybe jury-rig some stuff together. Perhaps disassemble some old boomboxes, maybe a laptop? I'd also considered going on missions and requesting power supplies as a reward.

That... m-might be the most efficient method, y-yes. And I suspect that is... p-part of the rationale for the missions to begin with... t-to encourage a sort of mutually-beneficial s-system.
