[Well it's about that time of year, when the weather begins to shift and it's beginning to get to the point where cultivating and preparing to for planting season is becoming a necessity. And to get all this started, Luke needs your help. He opens up the journal and smiles at the camera.]

Good afternoon Luceti,

For those of you that don't know me, my name is Luke Skywalker. For the last couple of years I've been tending to some of the farmlands outside the village, trying to build up emergency stores as well as bringing a bit of self-sufficiency to the enclosure. And as some of you may know, within the last year both Nami and Applejack have both departed, leaving the orchards near the farmland untended. I've been tending to them as best I can, but the vast majority of the help I had with the work has also returned home.

In the interest of better utilizing the space I'd like to request the help of anyone willing to volunteer their time with a bit of manual labor. I'm afraid it's simply not going to be possible to manage it all by myself, and any help would be greatly appreciated. It's beginning to near the planting season, after all. I'm happy to offer whatever services I can provide in exchange.

[There's a pause, and he seems to look somewhere off camera.]

On a related note, if there's anyone who knows anything about building irrigation systems, I'd appreciate any advice.

Loki, I know this is much less interesting than musical theater and cookies, but I was hoping I could get your help with a bit of magical work on the farm.

Five or six, on our end. I don't know about Malnosso or Third Party casualties.

[given that he's been on missions where they bring back more than a hundred bodies, five or six doesn't sound like bad odds. But when people can come back to life here, it all seems like needless suffering, and that's what he can't stand.]

More than that I hope.

[Luke nods gravely. Any death is unfortunate, even if it's short lived.]

[Levi holds in the immediate reaction of saying "Good," - while it is good, since it's about survival, one thing he understands implicitly is that not everything is as it seems.]

So what about you? What's your story?

My story?

[Luke has to repress a smile. For once someone from Earth didn't know everything about him? That was a refreshing change from the 'I Am Your Father' jokes and requests to see his lightsaber.]

I'm a general in the New Galactic Republic military and the current Grandmaster of the Jedi Order. The Republic is a governing body for the majority of my home galaxy, and the Jedi are an order of peacekeepers and guardians. As for my story here? I'm just trying to do what I can to help out.

So you also have a military background?

[makes sense, if he asked about Levi's experience. But he's also curious about another thing.]

Tell me more about this order.

I do.

[He pulls back part of his robe, revealing a patch on the cloth beneath, the insignia of the Rebellion.]

The Jedi? You'd probably think of as monks or mystics. We use a power called the Force to manipulate the universe around us, in order to keep the peace and protect civilians.

Monks and mystics. Sounds like a religious cult when you put it that way.

[if his tone is any indication, Levi doesn't seem especially fond of the concept.]

Manipulate? In what way and to what extent?

It's not a religion. It's just easiest to explain it that way to someone who's not from our galaxy.

[He shrugs and waves a hand at a nearby rock that begins to levitate.]

Many ways. And the extent hasn't been full realized as far as we know. But we can alter our bodies into something beyond human, move objects with our mind, sense things others can't, and do other things that are a bit more esoteric.

[...well isn't that a handy trick.]

Let me get this straight: you can make shit move just by waving your your hand and looking at it?

How is that different from magic? Or is it?

Magic implies that it's something unexplainable or beyond the understanding of science. The Force is something that is present, even if the ability to sense it isn't a trait everyone possesses.

[Luke sets down the rock and shakes his head.]

To you it might seem like magic, but it's not.

There's no such thing as magic where I'm from. Or this Force thing.

[things would be so much easier if there were, but he wishful thinking is pointless.]

So you're saying that it's explicable. How does it work?

[Maybe. Or there could be Dark Side titans running around. And he's had a lot of experience explaining the Force at this point, so his tone might sound rote.]

The Force is an energy created by life. It's in a state of existence that parallels our own, though only certain individuals are born with the trait necessary to sense and manipulate it. All living things create it, and have their own unique sense within it. It's a bit like chakra, if you've spoken to any of the ninja here, but unlike chakra it's not centered personally, it's in everything.

Chakra, so you're familiar with Kakashi's group also.

[Granted, he's only really dealt with a handful of them himself. If there's a way to latch on to either power - Force, or Chakra, or whatever - it's something he's keenly interested in. Luceti's power is elusive and difficult to latch onto, sometimes (most of the time).]

Have you ever tried teaching this to anyone here?

I'm familiar with some, yes. Kakashi himself less so.

[He'd been an older brother to Akimichi Chouji during a shift, and worked with Sakura and Hinata for a long time. But Kakashi is new.]

No. It's not something that could be taught to someone not born with the talent, which seems native to my home galaxy.

You'd probably find him interesting.

[not that Levi knows either one of them well enough to make that judgment call, but it feels right.]

I see. Too bad.

Well, we've met. I'm getting to know him.

[Luke shrugs. He never was really all that eager to teach people to use the Force that weren't from home. He felt, in a way, that lacking the context for what the Dark Side was capable of it might make them fall easier.]

I see.

[If Levi has any particular opinions on Kakashi, he keeps them to himself. He glances around again, as though visualizing what could take place in a few months.]

So what's the next step?

Basically, whatever you're willing to help with. Or have your men help with. There's not much else to show, really. Sorry it's a bit of a short tour. But the next real step is getting stuff together for planting. Clearing debris and tilling the soil, and then getting the seeds in the ground.

[He doesn't really know what else to say, honestly.]
