[It hadn't been hard to notice that Commander Shepard had returned home. Artoo had rolled into his room, her pistol carried in his outstretched claw, whistling and beeping. Luke shook his head and went to check it out, unsurprised to find Alia's spartan room completely devoid of anything. It was pretty thorough, and Luke guessed that the gun had been meant as a keepsake.

Which led him to go knocking on the door of the basement lab to see if Mordin was around. He hadn't seen the Salarian in a while, either. Oddly, it was unlocked, an unusual occurrence all on it's own. He headed down into it, and found everything neat and tidy, save for the Salarian's personal effects. A few obviously trapped books, a scribbled note, and a box filled with Medigel with a note "For the Clinic" on it indicated that he too had returned home.

With Ami kidnapped, Valentine's fast approaching, and his housemates either gone or preparing to leave for a camping trip, Luke was feeling his equilibrium slipping. Flipping open his journal, he sent out a broadcast.]

Hello everyone,

I regret to inform you that Commander Alia Shepard and Professor Mordin Solus have both returned to their world. They were good people, and Mordin saved a lot of lives during the last draft. If it's something you do, have a drink for them. They'd appreciate it.

If you have an appointment with me, I'm sorry, I'll have to cancel for the time being. I'll be in Good Spirits this evening, and tomorrow morning I'm heading into the mountains for some time to myself.

And Shepard, Mordin?

[True to his word, Luke will be in Good Spirits for most of the evening, and he'll be around town packing up some supplies for some time in the mountains. Grab him anywhere around town.]

[He notices the other his mumbling a bit, maybe Luke has a lot on his mind. But then again, so has he.]

Ah, do not apologize. It is good we are both rather fast on our feet, otherwise it could have changed into something more uncomfortable and embarrassing.

I suppose so.

[He shrugs. His heart and head are miles and miles away.]

[Loki looks at the other. There is a certain distance in his demeanor but it is not his place to inquire.]

[He is far from well, but Loki is known for telling convincing lies.]

[Luke's too distracted to notice the lie, convincing or no.]

I've had better days. But it's good that you're well.

[Loki cocks his head a bit to the side after he adjusts the shoulderbag he is wearing.]

You seem a bit distant.

[He is not sure what to say to Luke. Should he feel sorry? Maybe being understanding would be a good thing?]

Try to cheer up a bit. As they say on Midgard 'after rain comes sunshine'.

Ah.

[Luke smiles wanly, not really able to put his heart into it.]

My housemates, Mordin Solus and Alia Shepard, returned home today. If you knew them, have some hot chocolate for their memory.

[He really is not looking very well. And yeah, the loss of friends can be quite hurtful.]

I do not know them, I am sorry for your loss.

[The words come out a bit forced.]

I am truly sorry. Ben went home as well.

Ben? The...orange man. I recall seeing him.

Sorry to hear that, he looked friendly.

[Loki nods.]

He has been my partner in great mischief. Until he left that is.

[He shrugs afterwards.]

It is for the best. I have fond memories of him, memories are a great good.

Have things been quiet for you at least?

[Loki looks at Luke. It seems the great Jedi Knight of Star Wars is not in his 'happy place' either.]

Aye. Things have been quiet.

[Not at all, but that is not something he wishes to let Luke know.]

Extremely quiet. Quiet as a mouse. And you?

Relatively so. A few hiccups with a warlord named Garrosh, but nothing important.

[Loki has a hunch that Luke is not entirely telling the complete truth here, but hey, he himself is not telling complete truths either.]

Nothing important here either.

[He shakes his head briefly to emphasize that.]

I have not met this Garrosh, nor I have heard of him. But I can understand why you are unable to meet eye-to-eye. A knight of the Jedi's and a warlord...

[Well Luke's not talking about Ami, but that's about it.]

He's hard to miss. Eight foot tall, brown skin, carries a large axe and has tusks. He's hurt several residents and attacked others. I've gotten along fine with warlords in the past, but not when they attack people I know.

[Worrisome.]

I am sure there are enough individuals in this village who are able to stop him. Have they taken any action against him?

He's picked fights with people he's outmatched by, so far. I meant it merely as a warning. He shouldn't be difficult to stop if he gets out of hand.

Well, there are many powerful entities active in this village, he does not seem like an intelligent fellow, though.

Are there many injuries?

No, he doesn't.

And not to my knowledge, no.

Then do not be fretful over him, yes?

[Loki flashes a sympathetic smile before picking a pack of bubble gum from one of the stalls.]

I am sure there are enough other things to fret over instead.

[Luke picks up a bag of noodles and shrugs before making his way towards the door.]

I should be going though. I'll talk to you later, Loki.

[Loki nods.]

We should talk later, yes. I definitely would like that.
