1st Transmission, A Skywalker sprouts wings [Action, Voice]

Action
[Sometime around midday, not too far from the road, Luke Skywalker finds himself sprawled face-down and shirtless in the grass. It's colder than he remembers it being when he went to sleep, and the ground is wet. With a grunt, the Jedi pushes himself up, surprised to feel an awkward burning sensation in the middle of his back.]

"Geez, where in blazes am I? Artoo, where are we?"

[No answer, naturally]

"Artoo? Oh great...why do I have the feeling that I'm not on Corellia anymore?"

[Luke stands up, his foot brushing against a strange, leatherbound book.]

"Oh hello, whats this?"

[Picking it up, Luke begins thumbing through it, seeking some sort of answers. Upon finding the guide, Luke spends a fair bit of time pouring over it, attempting to digest his situation before slowly beginning to make his way into town, feeling out with the Force]

Voice
[Luke's feeling a bit better, having recovered his clothes and lightsaber, so he begins to address the voice recorder. He takes a very calm, casual tone until he addresses the Malnosso, his voice gaining to an authoritative, icy edge.]

Good afternoon, anyone who may be listening to this. My name is Luke Skywalker, and it appears that I've been...brought here to stay for a time. I'm not sure if thats the right way to word it, but as I am unfamiliar with the local customs, please forgive me. If anyone has seen a small blue astromech droid wandering around, please let me know. Also, if any of the...Malnosso are listening, I'd like some sort of explanation on your reasoning for bringing me here.

Wars...well...I've had my fair share. I'm just curious about the mess I've apparently gotten myself into.

[I got a bad feeling about this...]

And for good reason, lad. The thing to remember about this place is to expect nearly anything. Then you're never quite caught out in desperate times.

Well that, hopefully, won't be a problem. I feel the Force here, and its never let me down before.

....The Force?

[Jack is HIGHLY INTERESTED in this Force you speak of, Luke.]

[What has he gotten himself into! OH dear!]

The Force is...well...its the source of a Jedi's power. And I'm a Jedi. Its an energy field produced by all life, it links and binds the universe together, and can be manipulated by training.

I think...possibly......."A Better Man in Seven Days" diagrams your Force, though they've labeled it "active positivity."

[Luke laughs, Actually laughs.]

Something like that. But a bit more. The Force can actually affect physical things.

[and Luke decides to be a smartass, stretching out with his mind to find Jack, and give him the mental tap on the shoulder that signals mental communication. Should the pirate accept the charges...]

The Force lets me talk to you without talking, my good pirate

[As the voice of the Jedi speaks in Jack's brain, he catches his breath; every muscle in his body tightens. It's like the Fetches again, but with someone else. And suddenly, Jack Sparrow is very afraid indeed of a person who can wield the Force, and if he could remember his children, would be quite happy at his decision to suppress them.

After a few moments he is able to speak:]

That's. Marvelous. Highly. Clever.

[Luke releases his hold, DEFINITELY feeling that Jack did NOT like that]

Sorry Jack. I couldn't resist. I can't even do that unless you let me in though. I can only talk to you, thats all. Its nothing so sinister. Just like these journals, but only you and I can hear it.

No---no no no no, it's FINE. I just weren't expecting...quite that much voiceness. Here, wait----do me again. It. Do it again.

[Luke ascents, tap tap tapping on Jack's chamber door.]

You can talk back to me in your head if you like Jack

Can you hear me? Right, a test: what sort of fish am I thinking at you? HALIBUT.

A halibut. Is that a fish? Also, you don't have to think so hard, thats like shouting. See, this isn't so freaky, once you get used to it.

[Oh, Luke---THIS IS STILL PLENTY FREAKY, SON.]

Do they not have fish in the vast reaches of space? Right. Don't answer that. I am curious as to how I might obtain and use this Force for myself. Thinking things at people? Quite useful.

[Inner Luke laughs at Jack, its hard not to. He's...just so different]

This? This is a small portion of what the Force can do. Is there magic in your world? Sorcery, or something like that? As far as learning it, people who are born sensitive to it can wield it. I'd have to meet with you in person to see if you were. Thanks to the Malnosso I can't quite do that from here

[Jack is not so very good at wielding magic. He DID take part in at least two profane rituals, but those probably don't count. Inner Jack scowls at Inner Luke's laughter. He is DOING HIS BEST, ALRIGHT?]

Aye, there's magic. Voodoo, sorcery, witchcraft, all sorts of things like that. I did win over the wind spirit here, you know. Kipinn. I gave him balloons.

Balloons for a wind spirit? Now THAT is clever! You must be the cleverest pirate on the...Spanish Main

Don't patronize Captain Jack Sparrow, lad. It was beyond clever. It was unprecedentedly brilliant. And aye, I do seem to have that honor back in the Caribbean. And possibly here as well, though other pirates would object to that, no doubt.

Are there many pirates here then? Its not really a common profession within the Republic

You'd be surprised: there is actually a very large number of pirates here in Luceti. Not all of them do pirate-y things, however. Some of them merely---[He tries to send Luke a picture of pirates with rubbery features skipping around and picking daisies and doing a whole lot of NOTHING PIRATE-Y. Nami's boobs get a big feature in there.]

[Luke's mind is assaulted by rubber men and a nice pair of bosoms, and he can't help but raise an eyebrow]

Certainly not what I would call the most piratical of folks. Rubber men and voluptuous young women?

Exactly! That's what I like about you, Skywalker. You're willing to call a spade a spade and you know un-pirate-y behavior when you see it. Just don't tell Nami I said that.

Maybe piracy means something different where they come from?

...Possibly. Piracy does mean different things to different folks. They've just taken it further off course than any self-respecting pirate ever would. I'm certain the space pirates have it all well in hand.

Well you are certainly friendlier than almost every pirate I've ever met. Except maybe Han. But space pirates do seem a bit rougher than those folks
