13th Transmission: A Year in Review. [Action/Voice]

[Early that morning, Luke rolls out of bed quietly so as not to wake Ami from her Force trance and set about his day. It was a strange thing, really, getting up in the morning and heading into a routine. The week of dreamless sleep had done him a world of good, keeping back nightmares from the draft. Things were getting better. A light breakfast follows, filling the house with smells if housemates are feeling peckish.

For the early part of the day the Jedi went through his typical morning routine. A run around the village, complete with some rather extreme Parkour has him breathing pretty heavy. He stops by the Bakery for a bit of brunch, and then makes his way to the Battle Dome for a bit of practice. Around lunchtime, he can be found at Seventh Heaven and the square before heading out to the Farmland to check on Hamal before heading back to town.

Sometime in the late afternoon, he sends out a Voice message:]

Afternoon everyone, and greetings to any New Feathers who may be listening. As always, I'd like to offer whatever assistance I can. If you need help with something, please let me know.

I've got a bit of a question for anyone who's willing to listen. Is there anything particularly special you do for the end of your first year here? I arrived one year ago, today. And to be honest it's the longest I've spent on a single planet in over a decade. I've got to admit it's a bit of an odd feeling for me.

I've also been curious about people's travel experiences. Have any of you visited other worlds? Or even other continents on your own homeworld? If you haven't, why not?

And on a final note, I regret to inform everyone that Doctor Eggman has returned home again. He was a great help with the farm, and a good friend.

[A few filtered messages follow]

[Filtered to Adele LeBlanc]

Adele, I haven't heard from you since we got back. Are you doing well? I've been worried.

[Filtered to Syre Atries]

Syre, I wanted to thank you for the notes you left a few weeks ago, and I've got something for you as a token of my appreciation. I can bring it by your apartment, or we can meet somewhere.

[Filtered to Pinkie Pie]

Pinkie, I was wondering if you could help me with something. It involves baking, and I'm not very good at it.

[Then he returns shuts the feed.]

(OOC: If you want to run into Luke somewhere, go for it. He'll be all over town today)

[Lance doesn't at all mind these questions, in fact he's rather happy that someone is so interested. While people have asked him questions before, Luke has been the most interested and enthusiastic.]

There is no simple way to answer that. Pokemon battles stem from a Pokemon's natural desire to fight. Battles are how a Pokemon grows and matures, both physically and mentally. As they gain more experience, they learn new attacks and increase in strength. It's built into them and is part of their nature. The same can be said of trainers really. Many trainers start as young as 10 years old, and go on a journey around their respective region challenging other trainers. The Pokemon League manages this by providing eight gym leaders for trainers to challenge in different cities around a region. If a trainer defeats a Gym Leader, they earn a badge. After earning all eight badges, that trainer is allowed to challenge a region's Elite Four, and ultimately the champion for the title of champion themselves.

Paris.

Though I've always wanted to see Warsaw in Spring. I only saw it in Autumn and Winter.

Cuba's also gorgeous, but all of the Caribbean is, really. And Buenos Aires. Even New York City has a charm you can't get anywhere else.

But France has the Louvre, and the best food and wine.

From people who lived there?

Mm-hm! Paris is the capital of France, New York is the United States of America's most populated city.

Ah, of course.

Tokyo also has some nice things to it. And Mount Fuji is of course as beautiful as the woman named after her~ [Fujiko herself she means, if that's not obvious enough.]

[Obi-Wan has been scarce for the past week, and it's probably not difficult for Luke to guess why- Obi-Wan's feelings undoubtedly betray him.

But Obi-Wan has, in particular, been avoiding Luke so as not to trouble him. He has been at home as little as possible- typically preferring to exercise or meditate in the woods where he had some privacy, and when he was home, it was to stay in his room and keep to himself.

This changes, however, after Steve Rogers comes back to the village, and the next day, he comes to visit Luke, knocking on his door.]

... assistance? Assistance like what?

[ A pause. ] I'm new... sort of. Everyone says I've been here before, but... I don't remember anything.

[Clint grins back.]

I have a couple I use. One's a standard combat sim, moving targets. And I have a sniping program although getting it realistic and random enough is proving difficult.

I think I went out and had fun with my friends at the close of my first year.

I'm afraid I've never traveled, however. It was illegal for us to do so and we could be executed for it.

Child of Fuji Mountain range.

More or less. It's hard to get exact.

[Since his answer would be the same as Fujiko's, Lupin immediately skips to the one question that he can answer.]

Some people do something discreet and special for themselves if it's a subdued anniversary. Visiting a bar comes to mind, or maybe spending some time in a favorite place just to relax.

Others go and have a time on the town--pity the boardwalks of New Jersey aren't here, because they're fun...in a tacky sort of way.

It depends on the person. Mostly.

It's never too much trouble, Luke. One omelette with cheese, coming up in a few! Did you want anything else? We've got all sorts of stuff to try.

Baking? [Giggle.] That's one of my specialties! What'cha need help with, Luke?
