Groaning, Luke Skywalker rolled over in the warm sun of an early morning. Sitting up, he squeezed the bridge of his nose, blinking all around him. He was out by the lake, and he was still in Luceti. All he could remember was being woken from sleep by a loud banging at his window, and then blackness. Something felt off, that was sure, but he wasn't sure what. Shakily, he got to his feet and dazedly made his way over to the lake.

As he...looked into the lake, her jaw dropped, eyes widening. A female face stared back with the same shocked look, clad in New Feather garb. A familiar face, that of Grandmaster Sunrider, greeted him. To his further surprise the reflection began to speak, echoing through his mind. When it finished, things were a lot clearer. And so was her mind. Turning away from the water, Nomi Sunrider stared at the journal on the ground in front of her. Deep in the back of their mind, Luke Skywalker nodded in agreement. There wasn't much else to be done, if Luke was to be in control it would tax both of them. He knew she'd slipped him into a trance to spare him the pain of experimentation, and now she was willing to take his responsibilities until whatever the Malnosso had done could be undone.

Taking the journal, Nomi opened it up and Luke sent out a message in a distinctly...female voice. They agreed that not everyone needed to know what was going on...at least right away.

[Voice]
"Greetings residents of Luceti. This is Luke Skywalker, and...I'm having a bit of a situation. I was taken by the Malnosso, and I'm feeling a little weak. I am out by the lake, and if anyone could bring a spare suit of clothing, some water, and some pain killers I would be in your debt."

Later that afternoon, and all week, Luke/Nomi can be found around the village. Its pretty weird, even for a Jedi, so...expect lots of confusion and mostly to be speaking to Nomi. Feel free to poke at them throughout the week, just denote a day.

Not really? I suppose we could try and separate, but without a body to inhabit, the separated individual would probably cease to be.

Weary is better than injured. Did you manage to escape the battle without much trouble? No injuries I hope?

You make it sound like you have no faith in my ability to teach. I don't care how impulsive you are, young man. I have taught wild gundarks to sit still. I promise you can learn to meditate.

It's more the quiet than anything...[But her argument left no room for a counter. Lupin chuckled.] All right then, Master Sunrider. I'm not as bad as a gundark, but I can be pretty bad about being quiet and still for so long.

[Ami smiles very slightly.]

Didn't you say it? Jedi live long lifespans. [Which would make 49 not too old at all.]

Yes, we do, that doesn't mean I don't have a daughter who's not much younger than you.

[She caught that]

Did I say anything about being quiet? Meditation comes in many, many forms, my dear.

[A throaty laugh]

[And Mama is about Nomi's age. But Ami's hardly going to say anything that would seem to agree that Nomi is old.]

A daughter? You must miss her.

I do miss Vima very much, as much as you miss your mother, and Luke misses his sister. But I learned long, long ago that its not something to fear for. As much as I'd like to go home, I know that I'm long, long dead.

Then some day, if we all become able to leave here... [If Nomi's long, long, dead...]

You must see being here as a second chance, sort of.

Not at all, Ami. I see this place as an unnatural, abhorrent disruption of the nature of the world. I am meant to be a spirit inside an artifact while my body is at one with the Force.

I do not mind helping Luke and the others here, and I will share my knowledge with them, however I have no fear of returning to death.

...I wasn't present for it. [And for that, she is still somewhat ashamed.] I left with the crew of the Britannia for it's maiden voyage.

...I'm just going to trust you on that one, because I haven't seen a meditation that didn't involve being quiet.

It's still early out s-so. [ Luminair will chirp and wag his tail a little at the compliment. ]

You have dragons back home?

When I taught my daughter to meditate, I did it with walking.

[No surprise in her voice, at all.]

Was the journey eventful?

[Nomi was present and would have known she was gone- then why ask? To make her feel poorly? It wasn't as if she hasn't earned it so...Adele doesn't comment further on the matter. Her own cowardice and foolishness were just that, her own.]

Oh, it was quite pleasant up until the hurricane. Then things became a bit windy.

Nothing like these, no. We have beasts called Krayt Dragons, they're easily the size of a community building, and they don't have the wings.

[She opens her journal and sketches a small Krayt Dragon for Helios to have a look at.]

Well, I believe that is what hurricanes are, dear. Strong wind.

[She laughs lightly]

[Well. She'd walked right into that one, if not handed it to Nomi to hold up and careened into it at full tilt. As such she can't help but snort a soft laugh.]

And water. And whatever else it picks up on the way to batter about.

...Walking?

[That was new.]

Yes, that tends to happen when the wind kicks up enough. They tend to make an awful, wet mess of things.

[Smiling quietly, Nomi gestures towards the window]

Speaking of wet messes, was your home alright or did the flooding get to you?

[Her eyes flick to the window, and she tenses for a moment, ability to ignore exactly what floor she's on shaken. Then she blinks and it passes. She's inside. She's fine.]

A few leaks in the roof and a good deal of tree branches knocked across the lawn and in front of the house- but otherwise we were spared.

That's a relief then. The bottom floor here, as you no doubt saw, was a wreck.

[And your nervousness isn't lost on her, even without access to the Force. Muscles, eye twitches, she knows just how to read people.]

Adele, are you afraid of something?

Meditation is finding your center, not sitting in a room being quiet.
