Eighth Transmission: A Jedi turns 30. [Action/Voice, Forward Dated to May 24th]
Action
[Today, Luke is fairly active and out and about. The sleeping troubles caused by the possessive ghost of Nomi Sunrider were getting him down, but for the time being the ancient Jedi in his head seemed content to let him have THIS day. He wakes up quite early, and instead of his usual exercises and meditation, he can instead be found at the item shop, riffling through a myriad of junk like he does periodically, checking for objects from home. Today, he's feeling particularly lucky, and...as luck would have it he finds something. A package of cards, with strange, circular cards covered in Corellian script. Pocketing them, he makes his way around to the bakery, picking up a few pastries, and even sits down in the tea house, thumbing through the cards with a happy look on his face.
Eventually he makes his way home, stopping to pick up food from a shop. When he gets home he takes great pains to clean the entire house, with the help of R2D2 and a trio of small remote droids that he'd finally finished constructing.]
[Voice: failed filter to Leia Organa Solo]
Leia, I know this transmission won't reach you, but it wouldn't feel right to not send it. Happy Birthday. Give my warmest regards to Han and the kids.
[Voice: sometime during the early afternoon]
Good afternoon everyone. I wanted to say thank you to everyone who's helped me cope with the troubles I've been having these past few weeks. They seem to have subsided for the moment.
Also, today is my thirtieth birthday. I'm not really sure what birthdays mean in your worlds, but in mine it is a day for family and friends to get together and have a meal. Most of my family is not here, but I would very much like it if people would stop by and share some sort of food with me. Anyone is welcome, as I'm always glad to make new acquaintances, and its considered auspicious to make friends on one's birthday. I'm happy to prepare food from my home, as well, should anyone be curious enough to try it.
If you are available, my door will be open to anyone today. Community House 5, Room 24. I'd very much like to have people visit.
[With that, he closes the feed, the seal of the New Republic broadcasting for a brief moment]

Whatever happens, I want to be ready.
[action]
[action]
But no worries, I'll keep Luke informed. I trust him...probably more than I should. He's Luke Skywalker though, and a war buddy. How can I not?
[action]
And I'm glad that you trust him, even if its based solely on a connection with a film. I know your alter ego though, and I see that as quite an interesting thing. The Malnosso have created entire timestreams that are both right, and wrong. Its...most curious.
[action]
My trust in Luke is also based on those memories, even if they do prove to be fake in the end. What they can do...isn't right, but its no worse than things I've seen back at home. These guys are so hard because they wield so much power within these enclosures, and we can't do much to them from this side.
Our best bet for doing anything would be forming a group and striking during a draft or a mission, but something like that is hard to arrange. There are people who actually like it here. They have good reasons too.
[action]
I...can see the appeal of people enjoying this place. I've known war, and even battling the Third Party is a walk in the part compared to fighting Exar Kun and his ilk. The Sith War...was a brutal experience I hope is never repeated.
And I agree. We'd have to strike while we're at full strength, and some people may just have to accept that we will. Those are the sort who don't need to know our plan.
[action]
As it shouldn't be. We can leave people out of the loop and carry out our plan when the time comes, but its hard to forget about the people that do have families here. A baby was born here recently--what becomes of them if we fail?
[He sighs.] I normally don't think about the little details, but I've been here longer than expected. It's hard to not make friends after you've been her for more than half a year. I want nothing more than to get out of here...but I can't do it alone. Like Red, my best work is on the sidelines.
Frankly? I'm a terrible leader. But, I need people that do have the skills to do something about this. We all do. Those of us that want to leave, anyway.
[action]
That said, Luke is glad to be here, and have met people like you.
[action]
There's a lot of things I just dislike about this place in general, but it has introduced me to a few really cool people. I'm glad I had the chance to meet Luke and people like him too.
[action]
Its good too, that you've grown. Luke's noticed a change in your attitude, and its good.
[action]
I haven't grown that much. I'm still just a guy that can't sit still...Luke's gonna see what all that means pretty soon too.
[action]
[Theres that knowing smile again]
You mean your prank? I've seen it hazily, in my dreams. Stone and water being hidden amongst a sea of green. I await it eagerly myself.
[action]
...it had to be the Force.
His grin is slow and withholds all of his secrets. He wasn't even sure where he was going to hide the fountain. There were too many variables. They wouldn't interfere with his plan too much.]
Guess you'll just need to stick around then, however it is that you're sticking around. It'll be a treat. You'll love it.
[action]
[Luke? smiles, and his eyes return to normal, the man shaking his head.]
Its always strange when she speaks...
[action]
Would be. It's strange having another voice in your head.

So, how does it feel having an ancient Jedi in your head. She's a pretty cool lady.
