6th Transmission, Stopping to smell the Kibo...[Video/Action]

[Luke Skywalker has had an eventful few weeks, what with Anakin arriving, and breaking the news to his father about his rather dark future, not to mention the New Feather cycle. He'd patrolled the woods for newcomers, and spent many afternoons introducing himself to and attempting to help New Feathers get adjusted to life in Luceti. Not to mention the recent the blank...day from the last weekend.

That was beginning to be a common theme, blank days in his memory, and it was starting to be more than mildly disconcerting. Luke was genuinely starting to get angry at having his mind wiped by the Malnosso. To alleviate some of this, Luke decided that today would probably be an excellent day for exercise, and perhaps finding someone to train with. He'd talked to some people in the past about working on Jedi philosophy, martial training, and even meditative practice but due to the New Feather cycle, Anakin, and the confusion regarding the attack on the Battle Dome things had just not worked out.

He sends out a message to the village in Video form during the morning, before stepping outside to begin his own practice]

Good morning Luceti. I trust this morning finds you all well. I have a bit of a request. I would like to find someone to help me train today. Its been a while since I've had anyone to spar with, and equally as long since I've had an exercise partner. If anyone is interested, please contact me. I will be around Community House Five, so if you'd prefer, please stop by.

Moreover, if anyone is interested, I feel like today is a fine day for a hike and would love company.

[After his morning, he heads about his business in the village, stopping by the shops to pick up a few odds and ends like nutrient bars, a travelling pack, and some canteens.

Following this, he begins to make preparations for a rather lengthy hike, planning on heading out into the woods and just walking until he feels like its time to turn around. Why? Because he knows that he needs to relax and take time to smell the Kibo. Even if there aren't any Kibo flowers here. All the little things are starting to build up, and he can ill afford a tantrum of his own, having just prevented Anakin's explosion the previous week.

Its a fine spring day, and he does hope that someone will join him on his walk]

I know. Han is an extraordinary individual, and Leia is well on her way to becoming one of the most powerful Jedi in the Galaxy.

I'm fortunate here, too.

So am I. I've made many new friends.

Exactly. You, in particular. Its not easy to make friends who are so keenly aware of what its like to have that...well...darker side. I've kept that from most, out of fear that they'd misunderstand.

Some of the people here remember when I was here before, and how I was then.

Well, admitting it to newcomers must have been difficult. I will not betray your trust. I know it was difficult for me.

I didn't have much choice.

It doesn't change my appreciation, or the difficulty. My father needed someone to show him that its possible.

What happened in the past is part of who I am, but I don't like making it important.

[He smiles weakly]

Its just best to remember the lesson's we've learned. All of them.

Have things been well at your house?

We're fine. It's been... mostly calm, aside from the experiment. We've had some good chances to spend some together, my friends and me.

That is good. Usagi seems like a real handful, keeping her out of trouble must be quite the task.

Don't speak too harshly of her; she's a very good and true friend. [But she's smiling, and almost trying not to laugh; she knows Usagi well enough to know she can indeed be... a handful.]

I didn't mean that to be harsh. I wish I knew her better, because she seems like the most loyal friend anyone could ask for.

[Still...handful]

She reminds me of my niece, Jaina. Spunky, cheerful, and extremely kind.

They'd probably be great friends. Usagi-chan has that way.

Probably, though Jaina's a good bit younger. Maybe she'll mellow with age.

Everyone matures. Usagi-chan may also seem very young right now, but she'll become a good wife - and mother some day, I'm sure.

I'm sure she will. After all, she's got you to look after her! And who better to be a role model than someone like you?

[He says this, not realizing the time difference in Ami and Usagi's world]

I wasn't always a good role model to her, or a good friend. It's more like I'm making up for mistakes instead.

Which is an admirable trait for a role model. I can't say I was the perfect example for Jaina and Jacen, or even that I was a very good friend to Han and Leia all the time.

She doesn't know. [Somehow, this just took a turn for the decidedly more serious.]

Usagi-chan, here, doesn't know what I did to her. What I will do.

Well, she doesn't need to know. Obi-Wan and Anakin know nothing about what happens to me, and what I'll do in their future either.

[He offers a sad smile]

Its probably best that she doesn't know. But at least you're past it, and back to being...well...good for her again.

But isn't it a little like lying to her?

No. Not at all. Everyone is entitled to secrets, particularly about their moments of weakness or darkness. If Usagi-san asks, then it is lying, but if she doesn't then there is no need for her to worry about it.

Given what I know about her, she'd accept it because its you, and you are nothing but kind to her. She may even not believe it.

[It's still the old, old question: isn't it deceptive? But Ami nods, slightly.]

Maybe. The truth is, I'm glad she doesn't have to know right now.

As I am glad that Ben and Anakin do not need to know about my own past.

[He shrugs and smiles weakly]

At least we've been able to speak about it. Sometimes its hard bottling it all up, its not healthy.
