6th Transmission, Stopping to smell the Kibo...[Video/Action]

[Luke Skywalker has had an eventful few weeks, what with Anakin arriving, and breaking the news to his father about his rather dark future, not to mention the New Feather cycle. He'd patrolled the woods for newcomers, and spent many afternoons introducing himself to and attempting to help New Feathers get adjusted to life in Luceti. Not to mention the recent the blank...day from the last weekend.

That was beginning to be a common theme, blank days in his memory, and it was starting to be more than mildly disconcerting. Luke was genuinely starting to get angry at having his mind wiped by the Malnosso. To alleviate some of this, Luke decided that today would probably be an excellent day for exercise, and perhaps finding someone to train with. He'd talked to some people in the past about working on Jedi philosophy, martial training, and even meditative practice but due to the New Feather cycle, Anakin, and the confusion regarding the attack on the Battle Dome things had just not worked out.

He sends out a message to the village in Video form during the morning, before stepping outside to begin his own practice]

Good morning Luceti. I trust this morning finds you all well. I have a bit of a request. I would like to find someone to help me train today. Its been a while since I've had anyone to spar with, and equally as long since I've had an exercise partner. If anyone is interested, please contact me. I will be around Community House Five, so if you'd prefer, please stop by.

Moreover, if anyone is interested, I feel like today is a fine day for a hike and would love company.

[After his morning, he heads about his business in the village, stopping by the shops to pick up a few odds and ends like nutrient bars, a travelling pack, and some canteens.

Following this, he begins to make preparations for a rather lengthy hike, planning on heading out into the woods and just walking until he feels like its time to turn around. Why? Because he knows that he needs to relax and take time to smell the Kibo. Even if there aren't any Kibo flowers here. All the little things are starting to build up, and he can ill afford a tantrum of his own, having just prevented Anakin's explosion the previous week.

Its a fine spring day, and he does hope that someone will join him on his walk]

(OOC: Feel free to grab Luke pretty much anywhere. In the morning, in town, over the journal, before his hike, out on his walk, or really whatever you want.)

Right. [He joins Luke, grateful for the diversion, grateful for something new to try out.] ...I hear that there's some kind of treehouse village out this way, actually. Want to see if we can find it?

Sure. Isn't that where Jack lives?

[He's mildly curious, its been a few months since he'd really seen the roguish pirate]

...I thought he lived down by the beach. He mentioned something about having a Marauding Bridge, and he is a pirate of the high seas.

[It's a curious statement. They'd really need to get to the treehouse village now, to get to the truth of the matter.]

I guess we'll find out then, won't we?

[He hoists up his satchel and keeps on going]

[Red chuckled and nodded in agreement as they continue their walk, commenting on the wildlife and the natural scenes as they made their way through the western woods and to the lake. He was unfamiliar with this one, having spent more time wandering around the southern lake on account of Goemon's assistance in helping him acclimate back in November. The samurai, though quiet, was not unpleasant company--Red on occassion wondered what happened to him, if he really had gone home or was trapped under continued Malnosso experimentation. On this day, however, concerns like that were to be shoved aside.

Dwelling on them would get them nothing, especially since there were currently factors that might affect them.

They arrive at the lake, and Red can't help but break out into a grin.]

Wow--this one is gorgeous too!

[Having spent the majority of his life on city-worlds, any natural vista was stunning to him. Spending more time on Yavin IV had gotten him more adjusted to the idea of trees, but new vistas would always be stunning.]

Yes, it is certainly. Spring here...its a lovely time. I've seen nothing like it myself. Its a far, far cry from Tatooine, or Yavin, or the Core Worlds.

I'm told that Luceti is somewhat like Alderaan, or Naboo were.

Really? I wouldn't know for sure, but it is lovely here.

[He nods toward the lake.] Shall we?

Of course. Lets go have a look, see what there is to see.

Right.

[With a grin and a nod Red works his way through the foliage, pushing through shrubs but admittedly admiring it thoroughly. It was a lake--simple, really. It was still an exciting thing to see.]

[It was indeed something simple, but at the same time, it was still just something new, and distracting, and that was a good thing sometimes.]

Its really nice in this weather. A far cry from where I grew up. Does anyone live out here?

[They reach the shoreline, and Red kicks thoughtfully at some of the stones that rest at the water's edge.] Well, we're going to find out if we continue walking like this, right?

Yes, I suppose we will.

[Luke picks up a few stones, and starts tossing them in the water, skipping them]

Hah! Cute!

[Red picks up a stone of his own and tosses--only to have it plop with a small splash.]

Heh, try throwing it horizontally, like this. Hold the flat of the stone in the palm of your hand. [He demonstrates again]

All right. Let's try this again.

[He reaches for another, hefting the weight of it in his hand before he attempts the same motion on his own.

Plop. Again.]

Harder, Red. You need to put a spin on the rock!

All right--and yet again!

[The motions are once again attempted, this time with added spin as if he were throwing a disk to make it soar.

It skips. Once.

Plop.]

Getting better. Once more, but throw it as hard as you can.

[Quietly, he makes ready to concentrate, and use the Force to help Lupin...]

[He cast a curious look at the Jedi.] If you say so...

isn't that counter productive?

[Regardless, Red obeys and chucks the next stone full force at the lake.]

[Luke gives it a gentle nudge with the force, letting it actually skip several times]

See, proper application of force is all thats needed.

[He grins at Luke the way a child would. He had never taken the time to practice such things, and it was strangely amusing to see.]

Its something to pass the time. There were points on Dagobah where I had downtime. [He shrugs]

That's a pretty nifty trick, is all. I never thought to give it a try before, just considered the possibility of fishing at one of these lakes.
