[Luke Skywalker has had an eventful few weeks, what with Anakin arriving, and breaking the news to his father about his rather dark future, not to mention the New Feather cycle. He'd patrolled the woods for newcomers, and spent many afternoons introducing himself to and attempting to help New Feathers get adjusted to life in Luceti. Not to mention the recent the blank...day from the last weekend.

That was beginning to be a common theme, blank days in his memory, and it was starting to be more than mildly disconcerting. Luke was genuinely starting to get angry at having his mind wiped by the Malnosso. To alleviate some of this, Luke decided that today would probably be an excellent day for exercise, and perhaps finding someone to train with. He'd talked to some people in the past about working on Jedi philosophy, martial training, and even meditative practice but due to the New Feather cycle, Anakin, and the confusion regarding the attack on the Battle Dome things had just not worked out.

He sends out a message to the village in Video form during the morning, before stepping outside to begin his own practice]

Good morning Luceti. I trust this morning finds you all well. I have a bit of a request. I would like to find someone to help me train today. Its been a while since I've had anyone to spar with, and equally as long since I've had an exercise partner. If anyone is interested, please contact me. I will be around Community House Five, so if you'd prefer, please stop by.

Moreover, if anyone is interested, I feel like today is a fine day for a hike and would love company.

[After his morning, he heads about his business in the village, stopping by the shops to pick up a few odds and ends like nutrient bars, a travelling pack, and some canteens.

Following this, he begins to make preparations for a rather lengthy hike, planning on heading out into the woods and just walking until he feels like its time to turn around. Why? Because he knows that he needs to relax and take time to smell the Kibo. Even if there aren't any Kibo flowers here. All the little things are starting to build up, and he can ill afford a tantrum of his own, having just prevented Anakin's explosion the previous week.

Its a fine spring day, and he does hope that someone will join him on his walk]

I've no doubt. As I said the cutting ability is different, though. Lightsabers require less strength to wield, and less pressure to slice through things. And...I've yet to encounter a sword capable of cutting through steel like it was butter.

[He does see where what he's saying might sound odd, so he chooses to clarify]

I'm not saying abandon your sword, I'm saying take up a new tool as well. There are applications for both.

[Luke shifts forms, changing his strikes from the blocky Shi-Cho to the faster, acrobatic Ataru form. He flows from strike to strike like its namesake, a hawkbat. His sword moves with a liquid fluidity, and his feet barely ever touch the ground. He's not going to let her regain footing, and instead of being pushed back, he shifts to the side, keeping his positioning.]

[Yuriko tries harder, determined to keep Luke out of her mind, but also in a way trying to hide the images from herself. She feels more of her memories being cleared away to some corner of her mind, and with it some of her power too. But there's only so much of this she can take seeing herself.]

I enjoy it as a different application. It helps me to focus my mind when I'm working on something new.

It does the same for me. Learning new things, and teaching new things, it helps me stay calm. I've...had a trying couple of weeks. So thanks.

[Luke can feel the images begin to waver and fade, and he figures he'll offer a bit of encouragement]

Its starting to work, Yuriko. Most excellent.

Even after we all met, it's been difficult? [Anakin is of course her first guess; she's brushed off most of the talk of visiting other worlds, and while she's been concerned about the talk of missing time, she's written it off as one more thing to grudge the Malnosso for.]

Well, immediately following our talk there was the missing time. Anakin has been quite well, actually. But the combination of Adele's antics, Leonardo's missing lightsaber, and the missing time? I've been worried for Anakin, and I've been frustrated in general.

I dislike missing gaps in my memory. Quite a lot.

[So does she, and that's what tips her off most of all.]

Luke, could it be you've had trouble with your memories before now? Back in your world, maybe?

No, actually. There is...a period of my life that I've all but blocked, but there is no significant memory loss. I REMEMBER everything, from that time, though...I wish that I didn't.

[He may have alluded to this before. His...brief fall, and the destructive power that he unleashed...]

[Despite the encouragement, Yuriko is finding this a little uncomfortable now and opens her eyes suddenly.]

Agh! I don't want to do this anymore.

[She tries to change her tactics, and adopt more offensive movements. He is as swift as her, and for once her size keeps being a disadvantage as she tries to solidify her stance.

Her movements with her wooden blade turn more horizontal in an attempt to push him back and prevent him the advantage of a mobile position.]

I understand.

Maybe it's almost kinder not to remember. But, I'd want to know. [She had wanted to know.]

What I did, what I learned, its...difficult to describe the magnitude of its effect on me. I fell, Ami. Like my father. I learned to control the Dark Side, though...I also discovered new ways to use my power. And unlike Anakin I had someone to pull me back...

[He pauses, glad to have honestly admitted that to someone. Ami's partial admission to her own fall before made him feel slightly more comfortable telling her about this]

[She's the last person who'd accuse or run away, because she understands all too well. And that's why she says what she says next.]

And now, even though it still scares you to think of, you want to move away from it. Is that right?

I...want to move past it. Yes. I don't want to forget, because I did horrible things. I have to remember, so that it never, ever happens again. And...I...don't want it to happen here.

[He chokes for a second, remembering how angry he'd been after Valentine's Day]

That would be a disaster for Luceti.

Yuriko, calm down. You wanted me to help you right?

[His expression darkens, he hadn't expected this volatile a reaction]

[And true to the Ataru's namesake, Luke lets himself be pushed back, only to leap over Daisy with a Force-enhanced leap that carries him well out of her sword's reach. Before she can react he taps her gently on the shoulder with his sword]

Gotcha.

[She thinks of Usagi; if the princess were to awaken...]

I understand. But we'll all be with you to be sure it doesn't. And even if it does, we'll be here to put it right.

It may not be quite so simple. But I appreciate the reassurance. Its good to know I've got friends willing to stand with me.

[But the murderous intent that his fall would bring?]

[It wasn't that simple with Usagi, either; but they made it.]

I understand. But you can't do it alone, either. [Though of course what he's said means he knows that.]

[He nods]

It took my sister, and Han to pull me out of it before. [He knows she only knows them from the movie marathon, but...]

You're fortunate to have comrades and family like that.

I know. Han is an extraordinary individual, and Leia is well on her way to becoming one of the most powerful Jedi in the Galaxy.

I'm fortunate here, too.

[She sighs, a little frustrated.]

I did. But it's not working.
