That's my father. He's from before my timeline, but...thats him. We use the same sorts of weapons, lightsabers. Energy weapons.

[The title 'father' surprises her, but not entirely. This place gets people from different eras, after all...

... But it would be odd to find someone years before, or after her.]

For a weapon to have lasted that long... The Covenant version of these weapons runs out too quickly... but why two of them?

There are lightsaber forms that use twin sabers. Also, it was a gift from him, I feel that I should use it as he wished.

As far as running out of energy, that is a bit of Galactic technology I don't know how to explain. Our power cells last for thousands of years if properly cared for.

Thousands? Starships where I'm from wouldn't rely on fusion reactors with that kind of energy.

[Amazing... Even the MJOLNIR could use something like it. Its' microfusion reactor was boasted to be able to last fifteen years.]

But two melee weapons, and in warfare with ranged weaponry... How?

Daisy, from what I gather the technology in my world far outstrips every other reality represented in Luceti. Even your armor is fairly commonplace, in truth.

And you've never seen me use a lightsaber, have you? I can deflect projectiles without a lot of difficulty.

... I've seen Elites pull that off, but not often. It's when they're flanked or when they get grenades thrown at them that they're beaten. With your abilities... You can do that all the time?

And armor like that... You don't know how obsessed Spartans are with armor. I don't think they'd leave the suits if more advanced versions existed.

The power of the Force lets me do that, yes. It's a basic function of a lightsaber. And...I'm sure that Mandalorian Battle Armor would suit your Spartans just fine. Its not as bulky, and is loaded to the gills with all sorts of tricks.

[She looks back at the lightsaber. Judging by a tiny power source with a huge lifespan, it's evident there could be suits more advanced than even hers.]

The MJOLNIR augments my movement by two, and I don't feel the weight the least when I use it -- but it costs as much as a starship. A suit that could not only do that, but more...

[Mandalorian products. Perfect instruments of war for the war-obsessed person.]

Starships back home...are probably worth less than your armor as well. There are so many, and its just necessary to have one if you are any sort of businessman, military, or otherwise. Of course, Mandalorian armor is rare anymore, as most of the Mandalorian race is dead.

As I said, sir, Spartans are obsessed with the armor. We don't leave it as often where I'm from. It would be worse if we ever had it upgraded.

[She straightens.]

[Luke leads the way into a training room and turns it on. Turning he tosses a lightsaber to Daisy]

No guns. I'd like for you to get familiar with the feel of a lightsaber.

[She grabs the lightsaber. Upon the request of not using weapons, she nods.]

Yes, sir.

[She lights it with a buzzing very different from Covenant Plasma swords... It feels far lighter, too. She lifts it to test its' weight. It still feels as if she was only holding the pommel, in spite of the massive spike of energy she reads coming from the instrument.]

[Nodding, Luke ignites his own]

Attack me. Feel the blade, and see how it feels when it strikes another.

[Her head turns with the request. Even Spartans frown upon sparring with live weaponry... In spite of still competing when cheating teams use it.]

... It's live weaponry. Isn't there another way?

[She weights it a little more, getting used to the feeling of weightlessness. It's almost like wielding a combat knife -Frederic would be a natural at this-, but with the danger of a much increased range.]

Don't worry, its not real. Its from the simulator.

[He...isn't about to give her a REAL lightsaber yet]

[He looks at it... Then nods. She takes a stance.]

Yes, sir.

[She breathes inside of her armor. Then moves for a strike.]

[and Luke parries, letting her feel the harshness of a lightsaber striking another]

Feel the blade as it gets caught on mine. The jarring sensation. Again. Thats something you need to get used to, Daisy.
