[Luke has been a little preoccupied dealing with Anakin and New Feathers, as well as stalking around the woods looking for whatever had killed that deer]

Of course, Adele, I'm never to busy for you. Is something the matter?

The matter? [A soft laugh and she has to shake her head. For once, it was just concern that drove her to reach out. Nothing was wrong.] No, but I was wondering if we might meet and speak. Perhaps at the tea house?

Alright. I could use some tea. Its been a while since we sat down and talked, too. I'll be there in ten minutes?

[He gets ready and trots off to the tea house]

It has, hasn't it? [Another soft laugh.] I shall see you soon.

[She flips her journal closed and makes her way to the tea house, coat tucked around her to keep her warm. She would not need it much longer. Soon enough she's inside, settled at a booth, a cup of sour hibiscus tea in her hands.]

[Luke arrives a few minutes later, carrying a steaming cup of oolong tea]

Good afternoon, Adele. I apologize for being so absent, things have been busy with the new feathers and all.

Good afternoon Luke. [The smile offered is open, warm, and rested. Over two days of all but solid sleep helped work away the weary edges.]

It is entirely understandable; some of them seem sweet, and some seem a little...disconcerting. Far better for you to be helping those you can or keeping an eye out for something that might cause a problem.

I know what you mean. [Luke returns her smile with a kind, warm one of his own]

I've run into quite a few interesting cases. Are you feeling better? I couldn't help but notice you were rather ragged looking earlier this week.

Much; I have not done anything but sleep or read the past two days, to be honest. Lupin, Ginia, and Ben more or less had me under house arrest until I was sufficiently rested.

[And she was still more than a little mortified by that, and the rather public posting of her personal notes. It could be worse. After all it'd just been her schedule and some sketches.]

...Might I ask how Anakin is taking all of this? The village, the Malnosso?

I'm glad. If you were running yourself into the ground, I'd have had to say something as well.

Anakin, on the other hand, seems to be doing...alright. Honestly? He's taking to it with minimal frustration, but we haven't really discussed his future. I've asked him to wait, and while he seems worried, I think he understands.

I am fortunate to have the consideration and concern of such good friends.

[She pauses, sipping her tea to consider the situation.] Anything that he's told must be done so gradually. The truth of it will be traumatic; it would be best to limit how much he has to process at a time. Just. Dumping it all on him at once would be ill advised.

Of course. Such a psychological overload could worsen things.

[He too will sip]

But its not good to dwell on the mights and maybes. If you were unaware, Obi-Wan has wandered off for the time being, so Leonardo is staying with Anakin and I.

I noticed Ben's nomadic ways. If he thinks it will help him or Anakin, I cannot say anything on the matter. [Adele lifts a shoulder and looks down into her tea.]

Leonardo...the ninja turtle, yes? He is feeling more himself now that the weather is warmer?

He's the only Leonardo that I'm aware of, and he seems to be doing much better. And Ben left a note, I agree with his choice. I need time to get Anakin used to life here.

[He gently stirs his tea with a finger]

Have you had any particularly curious occurrences lately? Anything out of the ordinary?

I do not know how well they will take seeing each other in person whenever that comes to pass. [No matter how much mental preparation either does Adele can't help but think it will end badly.]

It is good. that he is feeling well. And I cannot say I've noticed anything stranger than usual in the village. New Feathers adjusting to life here, but that is hardly curious.

[Luke nods and takes another sip of tea]

It is good. This is a relatively quiet cycle, so far. Though having Ben and now Anakin? I only hope next time I'm lucky enough to have someone from my timeline appear. Leia, or Han. Even Threepio would be welcome.

Is that selfish? Wanting friends here in this strange purgatory?

Now that you've said that? Something, or someone, will appear and it will be loud, or messy, or violent.

[She has no idea which, but it will be one of those three. Possibly all of them. She cradles her cup between her palms and quirks a brow at Luke. Considering.] I cannot imagine Han doing terribly well here, no matter what time it is he would be pulled from; a man such as him? Requires more freedom than the village provides.

...Perhaps. It would be dishonest to say I have not wished for the company of those I know as well. It would be a comfort, to have that kind of concrete familiarity here. At the same time I would not wish this on anyone else I know well.

Well, we have Anakin. Thats enough for all three right? [He laughs]

Han? No, he'd be as restless as Lupin, though mostly from a desire to get back to Leia and the kids. At least, if he was from around my timeline. I think honestly Leia would have the hardest time.

Do you really think its that bad here?

[The thought of Han Solo, or Luke's sister present pulls a soft chuckle from Adele. She smooths a loose curl back behind her ear and takes another sip of her tea.]

There is always something else to be done back home. A reason to not get bogged down in all that is happening here. And...

It is not bad. Things could easily be much worse. But they are far from ideal. I just escaped a situation where I was surrounded by those that were experimented on without any way to change it or save them from pain. And here? The experiments are worse. It's...frustrating.

Well, you know since time stops at home I don't think it much matters what we get bogged down with here. After all, this is a strange sort of purgatory. I certainly don't mind it all that much.

[He stops, though, feeling her frustration and a bit of a pained sensation]

Forgive me, I'm sensing a lot of frustration. You've...never said much about home. If you'd rather not, thats fine, but I am curious.

I do not wish to become complacent. I loathed the idea enough in my home world, but here? It is even more frightening a prospect. [Low, a little rough. Entirely honest, however.]

There is...not much to say about the world proper. Just the circumstances. I made a poor choice and involved myself in something best left to others. I was, as I said. Locked in with people that were being experimented on. Nothing so grandiose or surreal as what happens here but. Being able to do nothing was frustrating enough there; when I knew the ones responsible to be human.

Oh...I'm sorry to hear that, Adele. Sometimes the worst villains are all to familiar. [He can't say human...that would be unfair to all the dark Twi'leks, Trandoshans, Chiss, and other aliens he'd encountered]

I suppose I'm lucky. Nothing so dire waiting for me at home.

It is fine. I have made peace with what waits for me on my return as best I can. Knowing you and Ben has helped me a great deal with that. [She smiles down into her tea, something small and sad in her eyes.]

Good; you've been through enough dire circumstances as it is. At least from what I know of your life. I wouldn't wish mine on anyone, let alone someone I consider a friend.

All I know is that when I get back, I'm going to be in the Praxeum, getting ready for a trip to Corellia. Its promising to be an interesting few weeks, even if the circumstances are less than pleasant.

...[Unless Ben told him, Luke didn't know. She considers for a long moment on whether or not she should elaborate on her circumstances. Honesty begets honesty, and truly? It did not bother her anymore.]

More pleasant than mine by a long stretch, of that, I am certain. You will survive your trip, yes?

Probably, unless I'm gravely mistaken in my estimations. I'm looking for someone who is a most curious individual, and I'm just leaving the funeral of a man I greatly respect.

But you sound like you have something far graver on your mind though. Please, share if you'd be willing.
