[Luke Skywalker is having a bit of a busy day. Rather than sitting quietly in contemplation, and perhaps thanks to Obi-Wan's arrival and interest in activity he has begun get out of the house more. His first stop is at the shop to gather up a few groceries. His recent discussion of Galactic foodstuff with Saber has given him an interest in trying out some cooking of his own.

After dropping off a load of food, he's off to the Battle Dome. Why? To train, of course. He'll be there for some time, fighting mock opponents in the form of various Dark Jedi from his past. Luke von Fabre's mention that there were indeed some less than...kind individuals dwelling in Luceti had set off a few warning bells in his mind. Palpatine, Exar Kun, a younger Darth Vader...all of them could conceivably appear during the next New Feather cycle, and he felt that it might be wise to make sure he would be ready...just in case. He's not being paranoid, just prepared.

After this bout of training, he's off to the Library to have a look for some books. He's running out of things to read, and his recent discussions with other residents has left him curious about the philosophy and religion of other worlds. His encounter with Yugo left him with many question, specifically if there might be other variations of the Force that had been chronicled or existed elsewhere.

Finally towards the early evening, Luke can be found outside Community House 5, sitting on the steps and just looking up at at the night sky, watching the stars and lost in thought.]

[Speaking of Palpatine, at some point when he's walking through the village, Luke may hear an evil cackle sound from behind him. The cackle in question comes from a four-and-a-half foot tall fellow in black robes who appears to be made of plastic blocks.]

[Luke stops, stares for a moment...blinking. This...looked like Palpatine...only...not? He's really, really not sure what's going on now]

Emperor Palpatine?

[Legotine looks up at Luke and nods his head, cackling loudly, before reaching a pincer inside his robes to draw his lightsaber.]

[Luke's lightsaber is in his hand in a flash, the Jedi taking a cautious stance]

When did you arrive?

[Palpatine doesn't respond, except with a swing of his diminutive lightsaber in Luke's direction, trying to hack the Jedi's knees off.]

[Luke deftly parries with a downward blow, skipping back a few paces, taking a defensive stance]

I don't remember you being so short, your highness. Or so slow

[Palpatine doesn't take kindly to that taunt, and leaps freakishly high into the air, leaping over Luke and quickly swinging around with his lightsaber in an attempt to stab Luke in the back. Or, well, his lower back anyway.]

[Luke, having dueled Palpatine only a year ago "back home", is expecting this move. It was something of Palpatine's signature style, after all. Kicking off of the ground using the Force, Luke launched himself forward, well out of Palpatine's short reach.

Spinning, Luke swings out, using his superior reach to keep some distance and his size to increase the leverage of the blow.]

Blaaah!

[Palpatine takes a hit from Luke's blade, but remains mysteriously devoid of any kind of visible injury. He sheaths his saber and quickly leaps quite a distance back from Luke, instead opting for that good old trademarked force lightning. Superior reach this!] Ha ha ha ha ha haaa!

[Luke blinks with surprise to see Palpatine shrug off the lightsaber strike, but reacts quickly enough to the Dark Side power surging from the Chibi-Emperor. Using the Force to throw up a shield, Luke starts to absorb the energy. He's learned more than a few new tricks since Endor!]

Seriously, aren't you a little shorter than last time?
