That's true... I don't think I've met anyone who didn't have some interesting quirk. I've never heard of a world that attracts people with interesting attributes though. Unless there's some sort of mechanically-generated field that's pulling people through without their consent. But to only pull people through that have something special about them... it's strangely precise if it's a machine.
