Groaning, Luke Skywalker rolled over in the warm sun of an early morning. Sitting up, he squeezed the bridge of his nose, blinking all around him. He was out by the lake, and he was still in Luceti. All he could remember was being woken from sleep by a loud banging at his window, and then blackness. Something felt off, that was sure, but he wasn't sure what. Shakily, he got to his feet and dazedly made his way over to the lake.

As he...looked into the lake, her jaw dropped, eyes widening. A female face stared back with the same shocked look, clad in New Feather garb. A familiar face, that of Grandmaster Sunrider, greeted him. To his further surprise the reflection began to speak, echoing through his mind. When it finished, things were a lot clearer. And so was her mind. Turning away from the water, Nomi Sunrider stared at the journal on the ground in front of her. Deep in the back of their mind, Luke Skywalker nodded in agreement. There wasn't much else to be done, if Luke was to be in control it would tax both of them. He knew she'd slipped him into a trance to spare him the pain of experimentation, and now she was willing to take his responsibilities until whatever the Malnosso had done could be undone.

Taking the journal, Nomi opened it up and Luke sent out a message in a distinctly...female voice. They agreed that not everyone needed to know what was going on...at least right away.

[Voice]
"Greetings residents of Luceti. This is Luke Skywalker, and...I'm having a bit of a situation. I was taken by the Malnosso, and I'm feeling a little weak. I am out by the lake, and if anyone could bring a spare suit of clothing, some water, and some pain killers I would be in your debt."

Later that afternoon, and all week, Luke/Nomi can be found around the village. Its pretty weird, even for a Jedi, so...expect lots of confusion and mostly to be speaking to Nomi. Feel free to poke at them throughout the week, just denote a day.

I would be remiss in my duties if I did not help Luke's friends.

[He gratefully leans back into the cushions once more, eyes closed against the vertigo.]

...I know, but I'd still owe you and Luke.

Berating myself endlessly was somewhat drilled into me by my mother and aunts when I was young. It is one thing to knowledge one's faults, another to dwell on them beyond what would be useful in using it to spur yourself to success in the future. It is the LeBlanc way. That and repressing our emotions in favor of putting on a pleasant smile for those that watched us.

[She snorts and sighs.]

Not terribly healthy, or safe, here. Luke and Ben have been most kind and patient with me, and for that I am grateful. They are better friends than I deserve.

Jedi are good companions to have. Particularly those two. The epitome of the Republic and the Rebellion's Jedi.

O-Oh. We have dragons back home about that size, possibly bigger. Ra is, um, quite large. Th-then again he can change his size at will so I suppose he d-doesn't count. [ Helios will peer at the drawing curiously and Luminair will join him in doing so. ]

It looks like the loch ness monster.

[He had a suspicion that it was just the second of many; he didn't accept help easily, but he always made sure to repay the favor. It was only the gentlemanly thing to do.]

They are good men, beyond simply being Jedi.

They are. Though, I feel you'd be hard pressed to find a Jedi who wasn't a good man, woman, or...other-gendered sentient.

Following the code is more than a means to the Force, it's a philosophy to make people...better people.

Maybe it's selfish, and I know we haven't known each other long at all, not really. But it will feel like a loss if you disappear when things return to normal.

Loss is, unfortunately, a part of life. I cannot tell you how to feel, but I know that you are strong. And you know that I will be here, in my own way.

In a way, yes. Luke's psyche will retain traces of mine, he burned me into his brain when he opened that holocron. I have taught him things, as well.

[She laughs now]

I didn't mean that exactly... but if this is because of the Malnosso, eventually... [Eventually, Nomi will indeed fade again. But fade, not disappear. Perhaps.]

The Avatar is someone who can master all four elements. He or she acts as mediator for the four nations, helping to keep the world in balance and at peace. The Avatar's also the bridge between the physical world and the spiritual world, to make sure that the spirits aren't displeased with the acts of man. And past lives of the Avatar are all there in the Spirit World to give their advice and insights from their own lifetimes.

"The-"

[He bites down on the almost reflexive 'The fault was Palpatine's and his alone.' Somehow he suspects he won't be able to sell her on that.]

"... I was tasked with protecting and guiding him. I was unable to defend him, and blinded to the extent of his emotional pain."

[He almost turns a bit bitter- a strange, alien emotion from his voice and his face, and one that sits poorly on it.]

"By love."

It's the first part of that code Luke has me pondering, isn't it?

[And Adele knows that she could use the improvement.]

You were tasked with guiding him. And you, who have deadened yourself to your own emotions, were unable to understand what was going on?

[She shakes her head, sadly]

The fault was Palpatine's, not yours. He was beyond you, the spider preying on Anakin's fears and on your own blindness.

Eventually things will return to normalcy?
