[Luke Skywalker has had an eventful few weeks, what with Anakin arriving, and breaking the news to his father about his rather dark future, not to mention the New Feather cycle. He'd patrolled the woods for newcomers, and spent many afternoons introducing himself to and attempting to help New Feathers get adjusted to life in Luceti. Not to mention the recent the blank...day from the last weekend.

That was beginning to be a common theme, blank days in his memory, and it was starting to be more than mildly disconcerting. Luke was genuinely starting to get angry at having his mind wiped by the Malnosso. To alleviate some of this, Luke decided that today would probably be an excellent day for exercise, and perhaps finding someone to train with. He'd talked to some people in the past about working on Jedi philosophy, martial training, and even meditative practice but due to the New Feather cycle, Anakin, and the confusion regarding the attack on the Battle Dome things had just not worked out.

He sends out a message to the village in Video form during the morning, before stepping outside to begin his own practice]

Good morning Luceti. I trust this morning finds you all well. I have a bit of a request. I would like to find someone to help me train today. Its been a while since I've had anyone to spar with, and equally as long since I've had an exercise partner. If anyone is interested, please contact me. I will be around Community House Five, so if you'd prefer, please stop by.

Moreover, if anyone is interested, I feel like today is a fine day for a hike and would love company.

[After his morning, he heads about his business in the village, stopping by the shops to pick up a few odds and ends like nutrient bars, a travelling pack, and some canteens.

Following this, he begins to make preparations for a rather lengthy hike, planning on heading out into the woods and just walking until he feels like its time to turn around. Why? Because he knows that he needs to relax and take time to smell the Kibo. Even if there aren't any Kibo flowers here. All the little things are starting to build up, and he can ill afford a tantrum of his own, having just prevented Anakin's explosion the previous week.

Its a fine spring day, and he does hope that someone will join him on his walk]

Hard to say. My only guess is with the three of us they used a few different ways of inhibiting our ability to use the Force. Maybe to see how much each affects us. Or some kind of experiment to that effect.

[Anakin steps into the room, approaching the table before waiting for Luke.]

Any ground rules you want to lay out?

Not particularly. Maybe...we should avoid going for each other's right hands? Mine is cybernetic as well. It was lost and replaced during a battle.

[He doesn't say...WHO cut it off...]

Best not to risk damaging it, since repairs in Luceti would be difficult.

[Luke picks up his lightsaber and ignites it, smiling]

A demon from the sun? That sounds...similar to something out of legends in my home.

Oh? I hadn't even noticed.

[Luke's looks so real compared to his. Huh! Anakin picks up his lightsaber as well, igniting it. He twirls it once in his hand before taking a stance.]

But agreed. We'll avoid that.

To most people in my world, it would sound unbelievable and impossible. But we know it was true. We fought against allowing it to revive.

[Aside from when one of her tasks had been to help with its awakening. She pushes that thought away.]

[The Spartan attempts an assault, having taken the chance to--

Something pushes her back.

For an instant she almost falls over until she puts a foot behind herself, but letting herself be on a sitting position. It's clear this is more of the supernatural taking place in Luceti, but she remembers her first conversation with Luke.

Is this what he once told her about? Of the Force?

She tries to compensate. The girl will attempt to hold him back before trying to leap a good height in the air -- to eventually try to reach another side of him to attack, and try to recover her standing before Luke takes it away.

She doesn't jump as high as she would in the MJOLNIR outside of the barrier. But she is still way above normal humans, and with the winds aiding her. And it is why she is amazed by the Jedi she is sparring with.]

[And...there is a duel! Handwaved as we agreed]

Anakin, you are every bit as strong as I've been told you are.

Well, that is a noble accomplishment. By your tone, I take it that you defeated this creature, and...were perhaps at one point enslaved to it? I...apologize if that's stepping too far.

[It's not a difficult guess, from what she has said, and her attitude in speaking of it. Nevertheless, Ami glances away and her fingers curl tightly at her sides. She has to face it, but that's anything but simple. Or easy.]

I sold myself to it to be able to destroy my friends.

[Luke now offers an apologetic look. He...hadn't really thought when he said that. He doesn't need to know more]

Well...clearly it worked out in the end. You aren't trapped by it anymore, the same as I am no longer controlled by Palpatine. The Dark Side...in any world...has an allure that is inescapable. Falling, and then being able to step back proves your humanity.

It proves I could hurt them. Even though I know it's the past, and I know they forgave me, I think about it sometimes.

Another mark of humanity. Its good to think on it, but not good to dwell.

[For emphasis, he'll put a comforting hand on her shoulder, and just nod towards the door]

Now...why don't we go out and get some sun? Staying indoors on a nice day like this is only going to fuel depressing thoughts.

[Ami is quick to nod, and agree.]

I'd like that. We can take a walk while the weather is nice. Maybe we could even stop by the bakery.

[He'll walk out, leading the way into the light of day]

Sounds good.

Unless you'd rather not have too many sweets? [She isn't the sweet-toothed one of the group, but she does enjoy them.]

And you're quite something yourself.

[He's a little amazed just how much more powerful Luke is. Anakin hits the switch on his lightsaber, retracting the blade. Even if he lost, wow. That was quite a spar.]

I have to say, I'm impressed. [He gives Luke a small respectful bow.]

[Luke offers the same bow, then a happy smile]

It comes from growing up when I did, and with a bit of natural talent from my father. I had to make up a lot of stuff as I went, and my knowledge mostly comes from ancient Holocrons. I never had a formal teacher.

I don't mind sweets. I'd be happy to share a pastry or two with you.

[He grins, leading the way to the bakery.]

I'd like that. What kinds do you like? [She falls into step quite easily, with a glance and a smile up at Luke.]

I like danish. Quite a bit, actually. How about you?

I'm fond of blueberry pastries.

Blueberry? That sounds good. Lets go for that.

[He should've guessed]

It's alright if it's something else, too; you don't have to be polite.

Well, I don't think I've ever had blueberry before, so...it'll be something new.
