[Luke Skywalker has had an eventful few weeks, what with Anakin arriving, and breaking the news to his father about his rather dark future, not to mention the New Feather cycle. He'd patrolled the woods for newcomers, and spent many afternoons introducing himself to and attempting to help New Feathers get adjusted to life in Luceti. Not to mention the recent the blank...day from the last weekend.

That was beginning to be a common theme, blank days in his memory, and it was starting to be more than mildly disconcerting. Luke was genuinely starting to get angry at having his mind wiped by the Malnosso. To alleviate some of this, Luke decided that today would probably be an excellent day for exercise, and perhaps finding someone to train with. He'd talked to some people in the past about working on Jedi philosophy, martial training, and even meditative practice but due to the New Feather cycle, Anakin, and the confusion regarding the attack on the Battle Dome things had just not worked out.

He sends out a message to the village in Video form during the morning, before stepping outside to begin his own practice]

Good morning Luceti. I trust this morning finds you all well. I have a bit of a request. I would like to find someone to help me train today. Its been a while since I've had anyone to spar with, and equally as long since I've had an exercise partner. If anyone is interested, please contact me. I will be around Community House Five, so if you'd prefer, please stop by.

Moreover, if anyone is interested, I feel like today is a fine day for a hike and would love company.

[After his morning, he heads about his business in the village, stopping by the shops to pick up a few odds and ends like nutrient bars, a travelling pack, and some canteens.

Following this, he begins to make preparations for a rather lengthy hike, planning on heading out into the woods and just walking until he feels like its time to turn around. Why? Because he knows that he needs to relax and take time to smell the Kibo. Even if there aren't any Kibo flowers here. All the little things are starting to build up, and he can ill afford a tantrum of his own, having just prevented Anakin's explosion the previous week.

Its a fine spring day, and he does hope that someone will join him on his walk]

(OOC: Feel free to grab Luke pretty much anywhere. In the morning, in town, over the journal, before his hike, out on his walk, or really whatever you want.)

[Luke gives it a gentle nudge with the force, letting it actually skip several times]

See, proper application of force is all thats needed.

Oh, hey! That's pretty cool how that works!

[He grins at Luke the way a child would. He had never taken the time to practice such things, and it was strangely amusing to see.]

Its something to pass the time. There were points on Dagobah where I had downtime. [He shrugs]

That's a pretty nifty trick, is all. I never thought to give it a try before, just considered the possibility of fishing at one of these lakes.

[Yuriko closes her eyes and tries to think happy thoughts. There's not a lot that fits into that category, however. Instead, she just tries to think of nothing at all, to brush all thoughts and emotions aside. Yuriko is fairly good at that, although Luke may notice she still feels quite tense.]

[A more aggressive style. Then while she may be strong defensively, she'll need to become stronger, or she'll only end up pushed back instead of gaining any ground or winning. Mercury nods crisply, and takes her stance again.]

[She chuckles at the thought of Kain being a Summoner.]

Oh, no. He's a soldier; a dragoon, actually. They make use of spears and wear draconic armor. Many bonded with dragons, or did. I'm not sure it's all that common anymore. More's the pity; there's already one dragon within the barrier, and I bet Toothless gets lonely sometimes.

[He's quiet for a bit as he checks the shops.]

I found it. [He's relieved to have found it. Though it's odd to him that it would have been in one of the shops.]

I always told Ani whenever I did see him that it was because I did not eat enough nutrients or minerals while I was his age. Apparently it did the trick.

[The different fighting styles don't surprise her. Many cultures in Earth develop in different manners.

She brings out her own training weapon in a stance -- with her height, she has to lower the blade to make use of her range.]

I'm ready.

[Luke starts with a small, almost playful swipe, angling his blade to come in to the right. Its not enough to leave him exposed, just a testing strike]

It must have!

[He breaks the hug and walks over to tap out a few commands on the console. Naboo shifts back into the holoroom]

Why don't we go have tea, and stop feeling sorry for ourselves?

Great. Why don't we meet up in a few minutes at the Battle Dome?

Ahhh, that does sound interesting. Does he have a dragon companion at home?

[The droid starts out with several rapid strikes, sweeping his blade in wide, powerful cleaves. It isn't particularly strong, but there is conviction behind each blow]

That is a good start. Center yourself. And feel your power. When you can grasp it, try and envision it as a piece of paper. One side with writing, another blank. Try and invert that image in your mind, presenting the blank to others.

[He knows it sounds weird, but this is how he does it...]

You know, I've never fished before. Have you?

Actually? No. But it shouldn't be too hard, and there is a lot of people around here who can teach us.

No, unfortunately.

[Maybe if he did, he would have less reason to seek redemption on that stupid mountain.]

I'm hoping that will change when we return. In the mean time, his affinity for dragons has saved the life of at least one, and inspired others.

[Yes, she's proud of that. For all of Kain's many faults, he has some good poins, too.]

I'm sure things will be different when you return. How long has he been here? Did he arrive with you?

[He's curious, of course, about others experiences]

True enough, there are plenty of people from other worlds that don't have starships. I'm sure someone knows how to.

No, but we did within a few days of each other. That was just over three years ago, since February.

[A small smile forms.]

Sometimes, it doesn't seem as though it could possibly have been that long.

They're friendly enough too, so they probably wouldn't mind giving us a hand in learning for ourselves. It might be fun trying to cook our catches too.

[She keeps a close defense until she thinks she sees her opening, and hurries to strike out against the droid. For a moment, she equates it to the droids used by the malnosso instead, and it makes her the more determined.

She hates them.]

[Adele drops back down off of her toes once Luke steps back, watching her family's home flicker and fade. After a moment she shrugs and turns a smile on Luke.]

Tea is an excellent idea, you can't feel sorry for yourself when you're enjoying tea. I've tried it. Can't be done.
