"Luke, I can feel what you are thinking, and you're right. This woman doesn't understand the forces with which she is dealing. It wasn't correct of me to do as I did, but her reaction. That troubles me. It speaks of an underlying current of fear, anger, and aggression. You should be helping her."

The soothing, matriarchal voice flooded Luke's subconscious, a reminder of his guest's great patience. Luke in turn looked at Adele and nodded slowly.
