[It had taken a bit longer than Remy had wanted to get this meet up sorted, Luceti always seemed to sap time away despite appearing less busy than his life back home. Yet they were moving forward as he and Wanda were on their way to meet up with Luke at the farm late in the morning.

It felt like a 'safer' alternative to anywhere in the village; gave Wanda some privacy from on lookers, and meant if things went south and her powers went craycray they were far enough away from anyone to be caught in the crossfire. Win win.

Spotting his friend, Remy gave a brief wave in Luke's direction and led the path for Wanda.] Mornin' cher.

[Honestly, with all the arrivals from home, Luke had almost forgotten about Remy's request. He didn't mean to, but when your sister and brother-in-law were fighting, your not-quite sister with orange skin was hiding out, and your father was out on the farm worrying about turning into a galaxy conquering monster...it tended to leave one preoccupied. Still, when he spots Wanda, it all comes rushing back.

Smiling, he wipes his brow and sets down the hoe before waving and meandering down to meet them.]

Hey Remy. Good to see you. [A nod to Wanda.] And greetings to you, miss.

[And if part of that family didn’t consider him family?]

Luke, you can’t speak for anyone but yourself. I’m not going.

[There's a sudden twist of anguish in his sense, an unrelated shock of sadness. Luke frowns, his eyebrow faintly twitching. He's honestly tired of beating his head against this wall, time after time. And now, right now? With memories of Arya and Chouji and Trisha at their most clear? He's not in the mood for it, and if the discussion goes on much longer, he won't be capable of maintaining composure.]

As you say, Father.

[Anakin didn’t have years behind him dealing with this, he didn’t even have a full month yet. This wasn’t something a person just got over on simple request. There were no on demand resolutions here, and it was unfair to expect him to be over it and compliant by now.

Everything Anakin understood about himself, his place in everything, and what he should now do was in question. This required time and patience, and acceptance that something just couldn’t be worked out or wouldn’t be the same – if they were ever even right and peaceful to begin with instead of a murky morass of resentment covered by a veneer of pretend.

Anakin could tell his response was not favorable. But he didn’t feel like he could pry beyond what Luke was showing him. And the signals Anakin was receiving was that everything was now awkward in a whole new way.

This was probably a good moment to leave.]

I’m going to go check on the droids in the fields.

[He pushed back from the work station and headed out.]

... Hi. [Wanda was 100% in full awkward mode, her arms crossed, pinning her hands tightly against her body to ward off any unwanted hexes. She had agreed to come here, and, indeed, was happy to! Buuut that didn't make her any less nervous. So she just stared, dumbly.]

[Offering a supportive hand on Wanda's shoulder, Remy have it a squeeze before proper introductions.] Luke, this be Wanda Maximoff. Wands, Luke Skywalker. He be a Jedi, [Not that it would mean much to her.] able to do all sorts of nifty stuff.

[He really had no idea how this was all going to work out, or if he was going to be in the way awhile they did... whatever. Worse case Remy was sure there was stuff around the farm to occupy his time and prevent himself interrupting their first meet and greet.]

[Luke offered her an inclination of his head once again.]

It's nice to meet you, Wanda.

... Nice to meet you, as well. [Thank god it wasn't a hand shake.] ... Thank you for-- inviting me over. And-- everything.

[Oh good god! Is he really going to have to do all the talking? ...Not that that is ever a problem for Remy, but this wasn't about him, it was about Wanda. The girl was too shy for her own good a lot of the time, despite being able to crush the entire dome they were in with a wave of her hand if she wanted. They were going to have to make her let down her guard before Luke could help her. May not happen this meeting, but needed to start somewhere.]

Let's get somewhere comfortable, hein, no point in just standin' 'round.

[Luke was more sensitive than that, Wanda. Handshakes were awfully personal, in some cultures! Nods? Not so much.

At Remy's suggestion, Luke nods.]

I've got a place, over by the barn. I set up some tables and chairs for breaks and lunches. May as well get into the shade.

... It's a nice place. .. All of it, I mean. [She had nooo idea how to broach the subject of why she was here. Was she supposed to bring it up? Was He? Was Remy? Better to just keep quiet and wait, she supposed.] ... Very-- peaceful.

[Heading the way directed to them, Remy resisted the need to pull out a smoke or to fidget with his cards, sticking his hands into the pockets of his coat instead.]

So, what the plan then? [More direct than he would rather be, but Wanda liked simple. Too complicated and could go over her head...]

[Luke gestures towards the tables, and a cooler sitting in the shade before taking a seat.]

Sit, have something to drink, talk I suppose. It's been a while since we caught up, and I'd like to know more about you too, Miss Maximoff. Just...basic things.

Have you been here very long?

... a little over a year now. [She sighs, looking down as she sits.] ... Sometimes it doesn't seem like it could possibly be that long. ... But mostly it seems like an eternity. ... You?

[Taking his own seat, and given the chance that there is a spare seat, Remy will also put his feet up.

He's happy to be quiet and grab a drink, leave them to it.]

This fall will be three years.

[He smiles wanly, not at all pleased with thinking on it himself.]

It's...had it's ups and downs, really. How've you found it here?

... It's nice, in it's way. No one here seems to want to-- exterminate mutants just because we're mutants. I like that. ... I don't like being away from my family though. [She pauses, considering.] Though... I've discovered more family here.

[She makes a big, heavy sigh.] ... Over all, it's nice. Peaceful. I like that. ... But I'd still rather be at home.

More family? That's always nice. [He smiles, clearly able to relate.] I met my mother here, for the first time.

It really does have it's moments, but as I'm sure you've noticed, when things go crazy here, they can get pretty out there.

[Should he leave? Shouldn't he? Maybe once Wanda was more settled.

...but it meant he was going to get bored. Then get annoying. Ugh. The need to tap his foot against the ground, to swing back on his chair, to do anything was itching away at Remy. Cards were however at least a safe bet. Keep his hands busy, and provided he didn't get stuck in one place too long, simply shuffling them will help.]

Home ain't 'xcatly peaceful either, neither be ya's really.

... True. Though back home, at least, I have Father to guide me. [She appreciates Remy saving her from having to get into her own family situation too much. Sometimes she shares more than she should.]

Well, mine's calmed down a lot in the last few years. We're finally on the verge of a more lasting peace. It's been a long, long road though.

[He huffs a laugh.]

Is your father a wise man, Wanda?

[NO! No! No. Just nnnoooo. Mutant terrorist. Horrible boss. Several sticks short of a bundle ~~like his daughter~~.]

He's devoted to his cause.

[Wanda nods her agreement with Remy's (spoken) description of her father, lighting up a bit, as the conversation drifts into a topic she finally feels she has some semblance of knowledge about. Not to mention enthusiasm for.] Mmhm. He's very wise. ... I don't know anyone wiser.
