[Oh boy... he wasn't attached to that wall, was he? Hopefully he wouldn't end up knocking it down. Yu shuffled over so he was facing the "wall", taking a deep breath and closing his eyes again to try and concentrate. Tugging was one thing, pushing might have been a little different; he just had to be nice and gentle and just give it a tap, right?]

[He saw those strings again in his mind, and reached out to them, giving a big one what he hoped was a nudge forward. It wobbled in place, but otherwise didn't move; okay, that wasn't enough, so he just had to nudge it a little harder, right? Yu reached out again, trying to nudge it a little harder...]

[The rock moved alright, flying like a rocket toward the wall. He cursed under his breath -- something he never did -- trying to grab for it and put the brakes on it before it destroyed anything, only to hear a thud as the stone suddenly dropped on top of another boulder.]

[...could he scream yet?]

[Luke was there to help though, reaching out in the Force and steadying the rock underneath it. He wasn't sure if Yu could sense that yet, but if he couldn't then all the better. Either way it needed to be done, for Yu's confidence if nothing else.]

Not bad. See, you're getting the hang of it. Once you get a little more control, you'll be ahead of the game.

[Yu took a deep breath.]

Y-yeah... just need to figure out how much to tug and push things.

Practice, Yu. That's all it takes.

[He reaches out and grabs a boulder of his own, moving it neatly over to the others, bringing it to rest slowly next to the pile.]

Nice and easy. Once you get it moving, it's a lot easier.

[Yu didn't take his eyes off of what his master was doing, trying to take in the sense of it. He let out a breath again, shuddering as he reached out for that same kind of calm that Luke always seemed to have.]

[He reached out, like he had a giant pair of hands to grab the boulders. Instead of pushing or pulling, however, he just... carried it to the wall, like he hadn't even been struggling before. He could hear the rock settle with a soft click, but it seemed so distant in his ears.]

[Instead, it felt more like his mind had expanded far beyond himself, like he could just take on anything just by carrying that one boulder. He let himself drown in that feeling, a soft breath coming from him as he reached out to everything he could touch and just feeling it like he was touching it for the first time.]

[And that's when Luke finally claps. Not loudly, and not long, but he's grinning ear to ear now, seeing his student's success.]

That's perfect. Really. Just like that, a pair of hands guiding the boulder. Feel the Force around you, and use that as an extension of yourself.

[Luke's enthusiasm helps bring him out of it, and Yu near stumbled when he opened his eyes again, very painfully aware of how small he was in comparison to just what was immediately around him after all that.]

...that was intense.

[It was the only way he could think of to describe what he just felt.]

The Force is an intense thing to feel. It's the energy that flows between all living things, how could it not be?

[Luke nods, expression still soft but more serious now.]

It's also important to be mindful of what's going on, and not to lose yourself too deeply in it.

Yeah, I...

[Yu trailed off, swallowing.]

If I hadn't heard you, I think I would have let myself drown in it. I can't even really describe how that felt.

Sometimes you need that voice to pull you out. I know I did at first. It's why Jedi take apprentices, you know.

[Yu smiled a little at that, at once humbled and proud that he had Luke for a master.]

[He went over to sit by him, and once his rear end met the ground, everything that he had just done caught up to him at once. He reached up to rub at his eyes, trying not to yawn.]

It's a little exhausting though.

You get used to it. [He grins and adds] My young padawan learner.

[Yu's smile broadened at that.]

Yes, Master.

Hi Mr. Luke I spoke to somebody who likes to write and it made me think about writing to people. I won't do it all the time because I know you must be busy, but I wanted to know how you are. Are you OK? Everybody had a weird time this month. It's OK if you don't want to talk about it. I hope you and your parents are OK. By the way, did your mom lose her cat before? I saw a message about it before but she got a lot of help. I wanted to ask her if she found her cat but then life got weird(er) here. If it was your mom I hope she found them! But if she's still looking then we can keep an eye out for her cat too. Do cats like forests? My bad if that wasn't your mom. Have a good day! Red



Hello Red,

The last few weeks were fairly normal for me.  The only odd thing that happened was a change of bodies, I was put into the body of an old friend.  Did you have anything strange happen to you?

My mother did lose her cat before, and my droid R2-D2 found her without any problems.  Talia was just hiding in the basement.  Cats do like forests though, but not as much as they do warm, tight spaces.

Hi Mr. Luke, I got turned into a ditto (a ditto is a pokémon that can turn into any other pokémon it sees. It's really wobbly looking and pink and it doesn't have any bones or muscle. It looks like this ) That was weird and it was hard to walk and I couldn't talk to people but I could talk to my pokémon. I wish I could talk to them again like that but it's OK. Did your friend get put into your body or did you only look like him? I'm glad your mother found her cat! What does R2-D2 look like? What are they like? In my world cats like shiny objects like coins. I caught one and he likes finding stuff. I carry what he finds but he found a shiny metal ball one day and he carries it everywhere. A cat pokémon in my world is called a meowth by the way. They evolve and walk on four legs and then they're called persians. Red

A ditto sounds a lot like a Melter, which is a kind of alien in my world.  It can look like anything it wants, and even live inside other thing's skins.  They're friendly.

Master Sunrider's body became mine, and we shared the same mind.  She talked most of the time because her mind is a lot more used to having a woman's body than my mind.

R2-D2 looks like this... (See icon!) and he is a droid.

I have heard about a Persian before.  My friend Giovanni had one, and it looked a lot like my mother's cat only bigger.  Talia is only a baby.

Hi Mr. Luke, Are aliens animals? Where they're different from people. Would that make Hammall an alien? Your aliens sound cool but I know there must be aliens with bad intentions too. Pokémon and people are the same. Hammall is really cool by the way. I introduced my pokémon to him and I like visiting him. Snorlax got sulky about being licked but I think he was shy because he started laughing? He likes to look all big and tough and have all the food but he's nice too. He lets me sleep next to him when we're camping. But Snorlax is still learning to be friends with us (and that's OK) So you shared a body? What happened to your body? Is that what happened? Wow he looks cool! You told me about droids and said they could have a personality. Does R2-D2? I remember Giovanni! Were you good friends? You told me he helped you with the farm with a pokémon. What pokémon did he have? I forgot if you said. Sorry. Red

Aliens are any beings from another planet.  So yes, Hamal is an alien.  I'm sure that he appreciates your attention and your friendship, too.  He's fond of people.

I did.  And I don't know.  Master Sunrider and I only had the one body.

R2 has a personality, yes.  He's as much a part of my family as my mother or father or sister.

The only Pokemon I remember Giovanni having were Persian and Aggron.  I wouldn't say we were close, but he was a friend.

Mr. Luke, That must make us aliens to each other too. I'm happy Hamal likes us. Is it OK if I take people to meet him too? I won't just take anybody. Well you're in your body now and that's what matters. Being in a body with another person sounds like it would be hard to move if you couldn't agree on what to do. What is R2 like? Does he like meeting people too? I've never seen an Aggron before! Were they big? I can ask another trainer if you don't remember. A lot of the trainers here know more than me. It makes me want to get better really bad, but I know you can't rush training. Do you ever get like that? Red

It's fine, you can do what you'd like.  He'd probably enjoy the company.

R2 is a little sarcastic, but he's very friendly and loyal.  You won't be able to understand him though, he doesn't speak human languages.  But he does like people a lot.

An Aggron was pretty big, yes, about the size of a bull.  It was grey and looked like it was made of rocks.

[A successful mission, with Luke's safe return. She can't ask for better than that, and she can't avoid the feeling of relief. She rings the doorbell, and when he opens it he'll find her standing there with a small and a small wrapped package.]

[Well, he certainly will be standing right there. Or rather, opening the door and pulling her into a big hug.]

[oh! Well that certainly takes her by surprise - a very nice surprised, admittedly. Ami can't help a small laugh.]

[Grinning, he leans in for a quick kiss.]
