Ah, well then.

[He takes one out, and goes to take a bite...then remembers the fail-cake and stops.]

...I did. And they are delicious.

[She crosses her arms and gives him a look.]

Oh come on, do you remember my birthday?

[But he takes a bite and nods, not talking with his mouth full]

I do, and have since learned from my mistakes. They're palatable. Really.

[Honestly, she can't blame him. After that particular cake she almost gave up on baking for good.]

[He swallows. Slowly]

Its not bad.

[He grins, cheekily]

They're better than 'not bad' Luke.

[Fine, she's muttering and somewhat miffed. But he's teasing. And he has a right to it.]

Its good, really.

[Luke grins and finishes the pastry before reaching to his belt and unbuckling his holster and offering Adele his blaster.]

If you're going on a mission, take this. Even if its non-combat.

[She drops the sullen look for a soft laugh and half smile- though the blaster gives her pause. All the same, she accepts it.]

I...thank you Luke. I hope I won't need it, but I did intend to take my revolver as well. This will save me the trouble.

Its far more potent than any revolver I've yet seen. Even the...shotgun...you should me.

[He smiles at the memory]

I modified it, its got a bit of a kick to it. So be careful, it should be able to punch through six inches of steel.

I'll keep it on me.

[Six inches of steel. She'll be sleeping easier with this at her side.]

Truly? I...should have little to fear by way of my personal safety, then.

It's a blaster. Its meant to.

[He laughs]

I'll leave a note for Ben when he returns. And Alia as well. I do not wish for her to be angry at me.

[She snorts a soft laugh.]

Good. And be sure to tell Law, so he can arrange a schedule.

[He laughs too]

At some point, you'll need to meet Professor Mordin, as well.

I spoke with him once I began considering the assignment. I have not actually signed up for it as of yet, I wanted to touch base with everyone before doing so.

[That's a name she has not quite heard as of yet.]

Perhaps when I return.

A scientist from Shepard's crew. I invited him to stay here. He's pretty pleasant.

Then I will most certainly meet him when I return from my mission.

[Luke pulls Adele in for another affectionate hug]

[Obi-Wan has seen little of Luke since his return- between Loki requiring his assistance the previous evening, and being out much of the day, there simply hasn't been time to speak. Prior to that, Luke was out of town, and even had Obi-Wan desired to disturb the well-deserved rest, Luke had left the journal behind.

So it isn't until this evening that Obi-Wan has an opportunity to even properly greet Luke- and as he comes in the door, his attention is immediately drawn to a basket and a note with Adele's handwriting, which he pauses for a moment to read.]

I can see that. You light right up. [And he can sense it. A passive application of Haki he didn't intend. He is a far way from any sort of mastery.] Could even say your drink is not the only thing that's glowing.

[Luke actually blushes a little bit at that, but nods]

Yea, I...uh...yea. Its kind of new, having time to get close to anyone. But I suppose I am.

[After Adele had left, Luke had simply sat down in the living room to take a breather. Anakin was sleeping pretty soundly in his old room, having returned earlier that day, and Artoo was powered down in a corner. Idly, Luke fiddled with a rubix cube, trying to understand how anyone could consider such a thing a puzzle.

When Obi-Wan walked in, Luke nodded over to him]

Did you see Adele's note?

"I did."

[He takes a danish, nibbles it idly.

Her cooking has apparently improved.]

"And I assume you're aware that Anakin has returned?"

Yes, he's sleeping in his old room. We spoke for a few hours, but he's exhausted.

[Luke puts down the cube]

You alright? No more visions? Aang mentioned he'd seen you having one.

It looks good on you. [And he takes the first sip of his drink and whistles.]

Now this has quite a kick.
